The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

If you guys get bored, scroll through the auto watch feature of our site. Customers can see the progress on their cars! I was looking for Phen and Marlon's pics, but they must've took them off the site already.

Some cool ones to check out...

34755 is a Jeep Wrangler I did. You can see me slingin some bondo in one of the pics. lol

35081 is a rear clip job my buddy did on an older Impala. Car should've been totaled, but when we get slow, they start writing low estimates to save the cars. They figure ANY work is a good thing, but when we're busting our asses on these junk cars, to make half as much as we should be making...we don't feel the same way.

35104 is a BMW 5 Series that needed the motor pulled to section both frame rails, a new driver side strut tower assembly, and passenger side front apron structure. (Phen saw this one) We do work for Dave Walters BMW, and we have a guy that went to BMW's collision school, so he gets 95% of these cars. He can have this drivetrain pulled in a few hours, he's done a ton!

40k miles... Big Enchilada kit, roll bar bought and installed, and a lot of stock parts included... $12,500. For serious.

Just want to throw this out there. I love Armorall wheel protectant. I put it on my Enkies back in May, mind you it says it lasts 4 weeks. Well yesterday I washed the car and cleaned the wheels. The wheels came clean with a rag and very little effort.

btw, I have washed the car since May. I just didn't give a lot of attention to the wheels.

i found a totally stock msm (minus 2 tasteful silver racing stripes) with a bent rim that doesnt vibrate for 7500... not trying to change your price or anything. if your car is still available in 8 months to a year we can deffinitely talk.

How many miles and where is it located?

Because that things probably going to be either a) ****** up beyond belief, or b) a scam. Even my car in poor condition is worth $9500 KBB.

Thought I'd pop in and ask, is anyone near the PA border? I'm like 30 minutes from Andover.

My parents live in Warren, and I'm out that way quite a bit.

He said kbb was 9500 he just wants to sell before winter I believe. It's in Holland Ohio.

Hmm. Mileage is a bit on the high side, but assuming it's an 04, it's 7 years old. That's still less than 17k per year on the car. My first year with my car, parking it in the winter, I put about 19k on it. Not hard to do.

well that's why it's only worth that...

Yeah, for the most part.

Awesome we should meet up some time haha. I'll have to wash her on the way though.. I live on a dusty old road atm so she's never clean...

FML....

Hit a massive pot hole and this is the end result:

I really wish I would have removed the 35 profile tires the day I bought the wheels (tires came with them), sold the tires, then bought something with a 45 profile. Unfortunately, I didn't have time because my tires on the RX8 wheels were really bald (started showing the belts).

So....I'm not sure what route I'm going down now. I really like the wheels, a new one is about $150-$175 (I have to shop around some more). Would it be cheaper to fix the cracked wheel? Or would that even be safe and possible?

Since it's almost winter, I'm switching to my stock MS3 wheels with the snow tires. I didn't want to use them until there was snow, but I have no choice.

So...my dilemma is...do I sell the 225/35/18 Yokohama S-Drive tires that are on the Black MSR wheels and find something else, or continue to use them next year and risk cracking another wheel? The tires only have about 8000 miles and still have a lot of life left.

On the plus side...thank god I don't have expensive wheels like Work wheels hahaha!!

I cracked one of the Sport Editions from my winter set last winter and ended up paying $150 for a new wheel as opposed to $100 to get the cracked one fixed.
