How To: Ebay FMIC

Here's my setup, should have taken pics without the bumper on.
For the hotside I cut some metal next to the radiator and ran a cut 90 pipe through it.

Then the cold side goes up through the CAI hole with an uncut 90 and a cut 180 and connects to the BOV.

Then a cut 45 and the MAF, and a cut 180 to the TB.

For the intake I just used the bend of a 45 and put my cheap filter on there, I have a new one in the mail that will look much better.

And you can see the single 10" slim fan I fit in there.

All in all I am very impressed with the results, I honestly wouldn't have done it if I hadn't read through this thread so thanks to everyone that has contributed.

Anyone got a kit other than the 2.5"? I ordered my kit at like 2am the other night after getting home from the bar... That's how I ended up ordering the 2.25" kit.

I have 2.5 inch pipes. I have 1 of each pipe that was used for my install. There are pictures here in this thread of my install. Pm me if u are interested.

I found the issue to my problem on why my car went from 8psi to 3-4 psi. I have a rip on the home depot 90 degree coupler. It's cheap,I know. I guess I have to get a slim fan and another 90 degree coupler to fix up my hot side once and for all. I finally received my cxracing coupler reducer for the turbo.took 3 long weeks.

They will if you can route the hot side the right way, I can't fit two with my routing. Today I was sitting in traffic with the AC on high and the car started overheating, turned off the AC and started moving and it dropped right back down. The little 10" fan isn't enough for this 103 weather and my heavy foot all by itself. It does the job though as long as the AC is off. I'm thinking of hooking the other 10" fan I bought up as a pusher fan in front of the rad.

CXRacing was cool and allowed me to exchange the 2.25" kit that I accidentally (drunkenly) ordered with the 2.5" kit at no extra charge even though there was a price difference which I would have be responsible for. So, hopefully I'll be installing it next week.
