WTB: used turbo/ blown turbo

My gt25 is on its way out. I am looking to get a blown turbo, one that I can rebuild or worth rebuilding, I would like to keep my car running while I rebuild another turbo to swap it out with. PM if you have a turbo for cheap or a good one for a decent price.

well why not??? its just like any other turbo isn't it? also i could get the rebuilt internals and just take the compressor housing and also exhaust housing and put it on the new internals, wouldn't that work?

IIRC, you need to replace the entire CRHA on this turbo. Or at least that's what I've heard...

i have a destroyed turbo ill send ya for just shipping. turbine was grinding against the housing last time it was driven (only for 1 mile) so im not sure if its salvageable, but its free! (minus shipping)

The stock turbo can't be rebuilt. I have confirmed this with two well known turbo shops. There's something different with the main housing that makes it unable to be rebuilt. Best of luck to you finding a replacement as I might be in the same boat once I figure out what the problem is with mine.

Yup. You can get almost everything you need from a turbo shop such as ATP. The CHRA can be found HERE.

the replacement crha is like 800 bones. imo you could get a used upgrade or a new upgrade with a little more cash

I have the stocker GT25. Built boost fine, but I think it may leak oil. Not sure, don't know if I had blowby from burnt rings or if it was the turbo leaking oil into my piping. Doesn't come with the actuator, since that was the problem in the first place.
