2003 MSP #14
Hey guys, I just picked up a 2003 msp. I've had it for 2 days and I love it already. I came across it when I was looking for a Miata. I actually had never heard of the car before so I did some research, and went out to test drive one. I loved it.

So I just wanted to say what's up to everyone on the form and I hope to gain a lot of solid info from you guys.

BOO no pics and welcome... Any mods done to the car? If its 100% stock first mod for go fast and realiabiltiy shoudl be a FMIC!

i say first mod should always be SSAFC to make it quicker, but thats just me.

welcome to the forum, theres a LOT of great information here! like previously mentioned post up some pics! if youre not sure if the car has been modded take a pic of the engine bay, im sure most of us here could tell you whats been changed and some of us can even tell you what brand etc.

I hear you but 8 years old with the craptastic plastic intercooler pipes are due to go out shortly if they haven't already and cause all sorts of issues.

Welcome bro... I felt the same way when I bought my msp... was looking for a 00' civic si and found my msp freshly traded in... but like everyone said pix bro haha

It's black mica I believe. Here's some shots of it:

It's all stock except for a welded front diff so I'm told. I just ordered a boost gauge, and I think I'll be going for a FMIC within a few weeks. Does anyone have any experience with the cheap ebay kits? A few of my friends have told me the ebay piping quality really doesn't matter much, I'd just have to upgrade the intercooler.

Congrats and welcome and from the pics I call BS on stock. Are those tires on the wheels snow tires by chance? They look to me like stock P5 wheels if they are 16" or possibly stock Mazda6 wheels if they are 17" but judging from the sidewall they are 16's.

Be sure to check out the PA section...upcoming meet this Saturday at Shady Maple at 8am.

That sux...given the higher temps I'd start looking for a nice summer set-up. The heat will wear down the soft rubber of the snows very quick.

I can tell you that's the lowest production # I have seen on here.

Welcome aboard. And you have the best color. That is the lowest production number that I have seen as well. People are always selling RH on here. So keep an eye out or just throw on a set of 17's of something else you like when you get a chance.

How many miles on the odometer?

It's actually a pretty high mileage car. 117K on the clock. I'm on the lookout for a nice set of 17's. Whats a good offset, around +40?

That's not really that high mileage.....I bought mine with 132k. Now I have 219k miles.....all original

And as far as 17s go I think it depends on how wide of wheels you wanna run.
