What have you done to your MSP today?

well, today I went to OCC meet and on the way a damn floor mat got kicked up by the rx8 infront of me, and I nailed it going about 80, I guess I nailed it pretty flat and on the bottom of it, because it scuffed the s*** out of the front right bumper, and cracked/chipped some paint around the fogs, and actually tore a damn piece off the bumper, where the mudguards attach, needless to say I was pretty pissed, will post some pics up later, it looks a lot better after getting some of the scuffs off with nail polish remover, but the tore off bumper and the damn paint still sucks ass.. wtf not sure if I want to find a lip that I like and have it painted spicy and cover it up, or just try to find a spicy front bumper.. not like I need to spend the money now though, already broke with getting new tires..

here it is, it looks worse in person, you can't really see the scuffs in the pics and it drives me nuts

DG lip will cover that right up...except for some of the scuffs. I have a few scuffs under my DG and also a cracked fog from a rock thrown from a truck tire on the interstate

spent a bit of time fighting with the rear caliper trying to get it back together. somehow one of the springs popped off so getting the pads to stay so i could put the ****** back on was a nightmare that took some creative shuffling.

powerslot rotors and hps pads going on the rear. all 4 corners will match now. got my ssafc in the mail. should i put this in the engine bay or in the cabin?

h&r are good springs. i wonder how the rear would look on yours, i didnt lower them on msp struts

ya, I have the 1/2 carbon fiber DG lip but my dad had cracked that last summer... so that is kind of messed up too, which is why I took it off, but I was either thinking about getting the 3.5 lip and painting it spicy, or maybe the DG lip, only problem is I like my car sitting low like it does now, and the DG lip would be about 1-1.5" off the ground, which I would just end up destroying it quickly again, so I'm leaning towards the 3.5 lip and just cutting out the section that goes into the fog lights so I could keep them, but it will be a while after dumping a lot of money into the insurance and new tires

Oh that was your spicy? lol I were at OCC, just got home. I won H&R Lowering springs lol
ya man, I was almost there and the damn mat got kicked up from the car in front of me, nailed my car bad, missed the rx8 behind me, and then nailed my brothers car and cracked his 3.5 lip a little, but luckily he was able to get most of the scuffs off (his was the silver one next to mine, finally got that thing running after about a year of problems after buying it and replacing the blown engine that was in there lol) and ya thats nice about the springs, my brother was the one that won that random ms6 bushings haha, there was only 1 other person in the bid, so he put his ticket in there haha, gotta sell it somehow now... but ya after seeing Speed Circuit's msp and yours with the gt28rs.. I just want mine that much more, but once I get an actual job hopefully by the end of the summer, I'll have a built engine and a new turbo along with a few other random parts

ya I had that problem putting my rear pads, they just don't want to stay in there when you put that spring in, big PITA, but I noticed if you kind of have them really close (the pads) and just mostly close the caliper before you put the spring back in there, and slide them onto the rotor kinda, it works a little better..

and as far as the ssafc, I would put it in your glove box, easy to get to when you want to tune, and just use some double sided tape keep it there, I put some of those screws in mine, but just used double sided tape for my brother's msp

well, my friend was all like, you dont gotta take the ebrake cable off. its easy...

well, after he left, i took it off, put the pads in the caliper bit, reattached the caliper to the hub, slipped the other half of the caliper back on its pin and closed it easily..
my friend is really knowledgeable about cars, but sometimes, better to go it alone lol.

i wont do the ssafc install this weekend, though i need a download link for the software. I have to clean up the wiring a bit and ill need to read the instructions which i seem to remember were on here somewhere. i might wait til i get my aem uego. gonna rent an exhaust pipe expander to make slips, then cut up the stock midpipe, retaining the hanger/o2 location, just deleted the cats with slip over pipe and clamps. real cheap and ghetto but it will work just fine until i get around to buying a full exhaust.

done modding for now though otherwise. gonna fix the missing bolts on my manifold, got arps coming for that, but il just weld the crack and put it back together with the new studs.

gonna just enjoy rc for a while and respect the msp until wife goes back to work full time.

other than exhaust, id save ive almost done everything on the daily driver msp list. yay me.

Went to replace my throttle body today and realised the previous owner of my MSP is a ******* retard..... not to sure how the car even ran... It was littlerally missing roughly 1/3rd of the TB gasket and had 3 different sized nuts/bolts!

^^ oh wow, man they don't look all that different as far as sizes and stuff, they are definitely bigger than stock, but it's funny looking at them, after not seeing any before, and now seeing them, makes me want to buy one next, but I really just want to build my engine with the turbo, don't really feel like blowing the engine and have to find a whole new set up

Well if you looked at jasons, he's running the 28, then mine you can see mine was barely in there. The compressor housing is the same a/r, the good center part is bigger ;P. And if you looked at my wastegate bracket and how much it pushed it more than the 28, it's a tight fit for stock location.

ah. that bumper situation sucks speedadiction though i wouldn't try to find a matching bumper and call it done cause its never gonna be the same color as your car. either get a lip to cover it up, or if you do replace the bumper, try to find a really good auto body person to match the paint. it will have to be custom made as the chip in the color book isnt gonna be anywhere close..
even if you get the thing painted by somone else, go get the color matched perfectly first, then you can just take the recipe to said painter.

^^ ya I know, and my car was pretty clean otherwise, almost ruins it for me, but ya I am leaning towards a lip, I like the look of the 03.5 lip on the spicy, but I would cut out, or make the fog lights fit in there, the other option is to just wait eventually to find a totaled msp with no front end damage and a near perfect front bumper (really unlikely but who knows), which is why I think I will just look for a lip, Slug420 who I bought the car from had 1/2 the front DG CF lip painted and it came out really well, but after my dad destroying that lip, can't use it haha, but I will have to ask him where he got it done at some point

Does anyone know if the rad cap is the same for a mtx reg pro compared to the msp rad cap? I ask because my bucket over heated last night and the rad cap fell apart litearlly as I was taking it off and it never really felt right right anyways.... I'm not sure what rad is in the car... I think its a mtx reg pro rad but its not the MSP rad due to it beign a full rad.
