Whoa man. Not an expensive part. My rears weren't even working when I got the car. Just "rebuilt" them. The pin was seized and they weren't adjusted correctly.

lol i havent had anything break either, owned it for about 8. i think your going overboard over a brake issue, a caliper even. you think any car is going to last forever with no failure. now unlesss you have had multiple problems with it reoccuring than you can post a thread bitchin all you want but a caliper dude? thats everyday stuff on any car. btw nice altezza taillights..sarcasm

Dude, its a old car.. more then likely been beat to hell ect ect ect... a caliper is a wear and tear part.. untell you have been in my boat with the issues i have had, then b**** untell then stop ******* crying...

I've had to put several different turbos due internal wastegate issues, rebuild my trans due to the previous owner(4 times due to crappy shop), replace every coupler on my car due previous owner not making enough clearances when installing the perrin fmic, my sway bar bushings are so shot I have front and rear clunk, my struts are on their last leg, my motor moutns are shot. The car eats tires like crazy even with alignment, balanced, and tire presure. I have had two MAFs go bad, a bad 02 sensor, bad thorttle body, 2 injector o-rings leak under boost, bad rad mount bushings... ect ect.. the list goes on but you do not see me bitching and crying to the extent that you are.

Sure, I b**** about the car adn the price of parts for it but its all aprt of being a car owner... Do you work full time, support someone else all while paying every bill in the house solo and trying to keep 3 cars up and running while still makign car payments on two of them? If not then stop yoru bitching..

What all issues have you had with yoru car to cause you to b**** so much...? So far a caliper and what else?

A new caliper can be had for $70 after core. Two rebuild kits for less than $10. Have to agree with others this is really nothing to go overboard about. If you hate the car that much I'm sure it will be easy to sell even with a siezed caliper.

Well to best honest i've though about setting it a blaze to go with the blazing yellow paint!, driving it off into the ocean, and just plain trading it in. Thankfully the trans was rebuilt under the 3rd party warrenty and rebuilt the few times after due to incorrect ot just crapy parts which was also under the shop warrenty.

Edit: But like you said every car has problems. Some more so then others. I have had a few Chevy's that have been "like a rock" sitting on the side of the road that make my MSP look rock solid! So as everyone else has said every car has its fair share of issues. Some MSP owners have had it worse then me and better.

i agree with others your blowing a minor brake caliper replacement out of proportion, its not like the back end of of you car fell off. I know its annoying that stuff breaks, the car is 8 years old, its no going to last forever especially if someone beats the hell out of it, im not saying you do. Its just normal wear and tear

Don't cry too hard.
I had to replace the rear rotors and pads as soon as I bought the car and just had to replace the front pads a week ago. I found an oil leak that looks to be coming from the rear main, and guess what? I still love this freaking car!
