Toyota... not F something up?

C'mon man. Toyota is the only car manufacturer that I can think of that makes me feel like I'm 50 years old just by looking at them.
Toyota makes you feel old? What about Buick? Lincoln?

They may be boring but you cannot argue with their reliability and practicality. For 90% of the drivers on the road who only care about getting from point A to point B repeatedly, without issue and using the least fuel all while not costing an arm-and-a-leg, Toyota is their best bet. One could argue they need a small, two-seater, RWD sports car and could serve to drop a few SUV/CUV's but I think they've got their target market pretty much nailed.

Evan #3 got free tickets so we're probably going tomorrow or Sunday just for the hell of it. Once you go to the Detroit Auto show, the Cleveland auto show is very boring, good thing I'm not paying HAHA

Well... their Detroit autoshow display made me feel old. No vibrant colors. Every car and truck in Silver.

reliable? hell yes
silly recalls? yes. caused by stupid drivers
good mileage? most of them
Boring? Yeah... unfortunately.

I think every manufacturer could benefit from a fun car that's priced right. That being said... I still want an early 90's pickup. Hell even an early - mid 00's Tacoma. I love their small trucks.

I to the Detroit International Auto Show and the only "Toyota" was the Lexus LFA and the I series and IF. They took the sports cars and made them more pricey where as Toyota became more of a blue colar household name. But they put the brakes on that. Get it, brakes and Toyota, hahahahaha. I had to throw a retarded comment like that in there. Fail!

The concept WRX is sweet, but like any other concept the US version will be made way more mild than Japan's and Europe. Did I mention de-tuned too. They need to bring the Focus RS to the states and leave the ST for the old people that can't handle the power. They had on at the Detroit Autorama last weekend. All I can say is Titties!

Couldn't agree more - I've never understood why Ford hasn't brought the RS to the states, it would be an absolute hit here (unless they couldn't price it right).

What about the turbo'ed MR2's? Those were pretty cool too.

Oh yeah man. The supercharged ones were cool as hell too... but... when was the last time one of those was built? They unfortunately have nothing really fun right now.

Aah yes, the LFA. The pure embodiment of "If I could afford one, I'd definitely buy something else...maybe even two of them."

I think the price would be the killer... not to mention the fact that they'd have an "economy car" that performed better than their muscle car. I have a feeling that's why GM pulled the plug on the 3.8L turbo motors in the early 90's. "An S10 out performing a Vette? No! Can't have that!"

Until Ford released the turbo'ed and 5.0 Mustangs - those things are beasts. But certainly a few years ago this is true... NO American automaker can have a 4 cylinder outperform the V8 muscle car!

ha my laptop dies and cell phone lives on that never happens! Muscle cars died back in 76 with all the emissions the government started handing down. Green this, green that. My 79 pontiac trans am has a 403 6.6 in her and she only has 220hp from the factory. Looks sweet as hell, but slow as balls. My MSP would whoop the s*** out of it. I would love to see a tuned RS on the street raping random "muscle cars".

Did you guys hear about the 09-10 Mazda6 recalls because of a spider? I saw a clip on the news last night at Jasens. I'll have to look up the info later.

According to a Mazda spokesman, the spiders like to zoom, zoom, zoom. He pretty much blew it off.

Well I just hope Mazda doesn't get a tarnished name like Toyota because of a silly spider. That's all.

Nah, I highly doubt it. 50k cars recalled. Pidley s*** on the grand scheme of things. I find it funny. "Hey, even the spiders love the Mazdas!"

Mustang, Mustang, Mustang..that is why the RS will never come to the states!

'73 the Muscle car was dead. My '75 camaro was 145 hp from the factory 350.

Sad but true. The Probe tried to replace it, if they made that RWD it could've.

from what i read... the probe was going to be the new mustang... but after talking with a bunch of americans, they realized it wouldnt sell. had to be rear wheel drive and have a v8 option.
