Door ajar, but not really?

I got in my car this morning to go to work. I opened the passenger side door put my junk on the seat, closed the door, went to the other side, opened the drivers door, got in, started her up to warm it up a little (was 20'F.) When I got in to leave, it says there is a door ajar. I stopped the car, opened and closed all the doors, but none of them were open. I drove to work, got there, parked in the sun, opened all the doors and hatch and hood, slammed them all, but the light is still on.

I turned off all the dome lights so it's not draining my battery, but what do I do now? I can't even tell which door is ajar. I washed my car yesterday and it got really cold last night so did something maybe freeze and just needs a little time to defrost?

I just ran out and checked and it's fine now. Light's out.
I'm just going to chock it up to some frozen water somewhere...

sounds like a door switch is sticking, not a real issue other than the dome light staying on. oh yeah, and the alarm wont arm if it thinks a door is open

Any specific part to lube? I squirted WD40 into the latch mechanism already.

just ran out and looked at mine and realized these are of a different design than on the hondas i work on. honda uses a plunger type switch in the door jam the the door it self contacts. mazda uses a switch thats integral to the latch ass'y. im not sure how effective lubing the latch will be being that the electrical connection inside is either broken or sticking in the latch and not the latch itself is sticking. if that makes any sense lol

If it's working now then I wouldn't worry about it anymore.
