Haha.. but the thing with this is that I have everything that I need....for the most part..haha. Idk im a couple grand short for the wedding so I know that I cant dip into the savings... lol

ive got 3+ years on my DDM's....guess everyone else has been getting the duds or the cheapo ballasts

This is purely a hypothesis, but... I have seen/heard that many people hook up their HIDs by simply plugging into the stock wiring harness (the 3 prong plug) and not running a dedicated harness w/ power & ground wires w/ a relay incorporated. I believe this could ultimately put a greater strain on the HID system and lead to a premature malfunction. I would be interested to see how many of the DDM kits that have not lasted very long, have been wired in this way.

Just a thought. I may be completely, 100% wrong, lol. As I know multiple people who have not run a dedicated harness with no ill results. I've had 2 DDM kits installed for around 6 months (each w/ their own harness), so we'll see if they last or not... (shrug)

would be a good hypothesis....except i have them hooked up with the prongs and not with the relay kit lol

Ya, I know many others that have had them wired this way for a while, as well. Probably no correlation, but who knows. Are you still on your original bulbs?

I have never run a harness on any of my DDM kits and my first one lasted me almost 2 years. I bought it from a shady vendor without a lifetime warranty, so when one of the ballasts went out, I upgraded to the 55W kit and that is what has gone out. Not sure what would change with the harness, since OEM headlight bulbs are 55W too...

nope, switched to 3000K bulbs like.....last year? idk it was a while ago,
i got the HID's my senior year of high school, and im going on my 3rd year of college now
i had 10000K's the whole time until i switched out to 3000k's

The difference in efficiency is probably negligible. Lower resistance and better grounding is never a bad thing with wiring/electronics, tho. (shrug)

Very true. I did not run the seperate relay system on my HIDs. I'm running 5000k 55w Apex Cones. I've had them almost 3 years now.

i know how you feel...my protege has been begging for mods lately but i have 0 money lol
just applied for another job, hopefully get this so i can start modding again!!!

So Callie's P5 needs a new passenger rear (or front not sure cause her phone died)

Both Callie and said "snowbird" were coming from opposite sides of the road trying to both go west.

Callie was already in the road as the old woman made a WIDE turn into the far left lane smashing in Callie's door

No pics but i'll have one tonight

Just ordered a bunch of parts for the P5. Notably: a Canadian EGR, coilpacks
+wires, and new brakes (rotors, stoptech pads, and new lines). Hopefully I have the willpower to wait for the xmas break to install everything :)
