The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

I don't think the msp seats are that bad, not the greatest but not that bad. My issue with new seats besides not haveing money is that they wouldn't match the back seats

just looked at magnum's sale thread, those are really nice and a great price, maybe if i hit it big when i go gambling after x-mas

I can only wish for that beer and Daytona. Sounds really good right now.

I got 2/3 right now...SSP (w/ weight) and Bushings helped out dramatically. The only issue with the SSP is that because the distance is shorter, it requires more effort. Everyone says a heavier shift knob fixes that. Also, many people say that changing the MS3 tranny fluid to MT-90 improves the feel too. Idk if that will be necessary, but we will see.

I agree...every mazda owner should do these things. My shifting confidence is like 100x better because of them!

MT-90 will make your shifting slicker than owl s***! With the weighted knob you really should not miss any shifts and the tighter shorter throws can save you a couple of tenths on the track, which is huge.

You better bring Kyle or I'll kick your ass Tony! We'll be bringing some Great Lakes Christmas Ale to Daytona. We should have pricing soon, Lime rock will be bigger and better than last year and so will Mid-Ohio!!!

I put in the Ford Motorcraft XT-Q5-XS (or whatever the hell it is). Night and day difference in my shifting! Definitely change your transmission fluid ASAP Evan Numero Dos, using the MT-90 or the Ford stuff. It is easy and takes about 20 minutes.

I saw on one of the motor shows on TV that they drain the fluid, and fill a bladder bag with the correct amount of new tranny fluid, then just release it into the filler hole. You know what I mean? Or just use a funnel and tube, I've still got the one I used on my car rigged up if you need it! Do it before winter, because shifting only gets harder as the weather gets colder with this car.

Evan, bring it on over and we can change your tranny fluid. I've done mine this summer, we did Kevins this past weekend and Pablos the other day. I've got a tube, and a funnel so you bring the 3quarts of Redline MT90 and we're good to go.

Whats up my Ohio people........Not a lot f you know me, Levi, Fez and Phen all know me......Just wanted to drop a line, say Sup......so....Sup??? I am enjoying some

TONY! Man, I could go for a Yuengling. Instead, I just keep drinking these damn high ABV Belgians that I get here.

A trick that I learned for tranny fluid, especially for cars that are difficult to fill like my MSM is a garden sprayer. Fill it with fluid and let the pressure help you out.

Somehow...I managed to get 2 nights off this week!!! Is LMS open on Thursday? I'm free after 5:30pm.

I'm sorry, but LMS is closed on Thursday due to some pre-winter cleaning and the arrival of a new motor. We here at LMS hope you understand and we would still like to schedule an appointment perhaps for this weekend or next week. Thank you. ~Evan Lewis, Lewis Motorsports

HAHA I appreciate the prompt, professional response. If you are for sure doing the mini get-together on Saturday, I can stop by then. I can't wait to see the engine :)

Pick up a case of the stuff, I have to replace the fluid in all 3 cars....hahahahahahha

Haven't posted on here in a while. Was planning on buying up Corksport's MP3, but decided against it. I'm just gonna drive the P5 as stock until I have a big boy job after graduation and enough money to get exactly what I want.

That's what I have in all 3 of my cars. The P5 has a little bit of Lucas oil additive in it. Made a nice difference with the syncros, but it's a total b**** to shift when it's cold. LOL.

Yeah, Evan. Bring it over saturday. Kevin and I will still be doing his suspension then so I'll give you a hand, no worries.

ps- it was funny when we were swapping his motor and I was getting tired/crabby and said "Screw this, I'm going home.". heh-heh.

Ivan, I'm kinda glad you didn't buy the MP3, that thing seemed kinda half-assed...

Evan, I usually just buy my stuff at Summit. It's only 15 mins down the road. They usually don't carry Redline at Autozone or Advanced but I think they carry Royal Purple.

O ryly? Why do you say that? I've never used any of it but have seen race cars using it...?

I have a few friends that have had bearing failures using RP. Different style motors too. One was in a supercharged Mustang, another in a B18C5, one instance in a Yamaha Banshee, etc. I've heard that it breaks down prematurely, hence the damage. Race cars change oil much more frequently.
