I'm planning on using 7mm spacers to move out to +38. Hopefully before the fun run next weekend...

I want a 5mm spacer for the back wheels, so they sit flush like the front.

Any idea where it is now? there is one that looks identical to that one that I see around here everyonce and a while
I believe it's still around the MD area, but it's possible he travels up your way at times

Why would you say 35 series tires are not functional? I have only run 35 series tires since 05 and have had no problems what so ever.
because they offer very little in the way of rim protection and instead of enjoying the drive you have to play slalom around imperfections in the road

50 series tires FTMFW!

Wha!? You're on coilovers and you're NOT slammed?! I want to give you an eHug. Haha

All the cars on this page look awesome. Very well done, gentlemen.

^^^ My bad, I don't know many members personally outside of Ohio. Thanks for correcting me.

I called the member who bought my leather seats "mate, dude and man" for a month through PM's helping her install them and such. Only to find out she's a lady. Haha! Oops.

Hahah yep! I don't see the point in slamming. I want to be able to take a corner aggressively without damaging my tires/car.

I don't think its awkward.. It's a wide wheel w/ low offset.. its gonna stick out, especially at that rate of speed.

Well I don't think your wheels should be "sticking out" at any speed. heh-heh. I think we're just trying to say it looks a little wonky, that's all. I personally think the wheels' rim shouldn't extend past the fender, but that's just me.

While I completely agree with this entire post, I just have to say: it was only a matter of time before a hellaflush discussion broke out in here... *facepalm*... and I had such high hopes.

personally I think staggered wheels on a FWD is just.... pointless. It looks strange, and it makes an already present understeer problem worse.

Every time you post I facepalm.

The setup is not staggered, they are the same size front and rear. and idk what understeer problem your talking about the protege is one the most well balanced cars I've driven.

you're telling me that is the same wheel width, tire size, and offset?

As for understeer, any FWD car will understeer if you're on the gas through a corner. I agree, the BJ is a very well behaved chassis, but add an LSD to the equation and understeer starts to come back if you're on it... more sticky rubber up front helps this.

on an unrelated note... way to be a dick about it... its not like I insulted your mother or something. (Unless she picked out your wheels I guess) LOL
