Aggressive fitment anyone?!

I've been wanting to get a more aggressive stance for a while. So without reading 1600 posts here, which size spacers would I need (I know I'll need extended lugs or the spacers that have them included)?
  • stock MP3 rims (55mm offset IIRC?)
  • I'd like to keep within SCCA rules where the bottom of the tire can't extend beyond the fender
  • my current camber setting: -2.5* in the front and -1.5 in the rear.
I would like to not rub, and would prefer not to roll my fenders although it shouldn't be necessary to keep within the SCCA rules with my camber.
My guess is roughly 10mm.

Now the only issue is that I think I'd have to be able to take off those spacers for AutoX because my Kosei K1 Racing rims are a 45mm offset which make the wheels pretty flush to begin with when the suspension is fully compressed.

if you need to be able to hot-swap, you're either looking at a 5mm spacer so that the OEM studs are still safe, or a 15mm+ spacer that has its own studs pressed in.

I think that blocks out your ideal range... so you have a choice to make. with that camber, I'd go with the 15+ route, and not worry about the SCCA rules, because you're swapping stances when you go to run anyway.

idk i have a =42 offset with 2.5degree camber in the front and 1.5 rear and its not flush at all. id go like 15 mm spacers. im hopefully doing 10 mm spacers next spring

id say 25 too. but you wil probably have to get extended studs. and it really depends on the camber.

also i would recommend some headlight repair s***. thats foggy

I have 15mm spacers (w/ built in studs) on my MP3 RH's.

and culridr even with that camber you have if wont exceed the fender. just look at ucs
he's talking about SCCA rules... which look at the BOTTOM of the tire, so it limits the offset and camber you can use together, as opposed to being able to add offset, and then bring it back with camber.

mine used to too i had 4 people in the car and whenever id hit a bump major rubbing. i even had hairs of rubber hanging off the sidewall and it pulled the inner fender lip down. so i rolled em and added 1.5 camber and no longer does it rub

Moving up to 17x8's will be interesting. I will be setting camber to -2 (maybe -2.5 in front) & the tires will stretch a bit more on an 8" vs the current 7". Haven't decided what I'm gonna do about the fenders. My driver side has enough rust, that I don't think I can roll them without f'ing them up... Quarter panel replacement is not an option currently due to $$. It's like $1k per side, lol.

Camber settings?

-1.8 front, -1.4 rear. @ my last alignment, anyways. It's been well over a year, so...

it doesnt look like much. probably .5 from his springs?

wth are you talking about?

oh i have the same rust problem as you. dont worry about it. i used a ******* aluminium baseball bat and rolled all 4 in 15 minutes without a heat gun on a hot day. its a damn good roll if i do say so my self.

and are the illuminas adjustable when it comes to camber?

No, my driver's side is bad. I am ashamed, it's so bad this year...

No, you'd have to buy camber plates seperately.

i didnt think so. im just curious of how you got the camber you have. bolts?

Yes. I may have to slot the holes to get more when I mount the new wheels & get an alignment...

Your rear rubbing is on the fender I take it? How bad is it? If it's only a very small amount, then it probably won't be an issue as I plan on going with a touch more camber next year and I'm pretty sure I have stiffer springs then you (Bspecs).

you can use camber bolts. I would call it somewhat halfassed. they can be knocked out of spec by a good pothole.

camber plates are the proper way, most coilovers include them with the fronts, and rears tend to be optional.

I'm running Eibach camber bolts at all 4 corners right now. Will be going with adjustable arms in the rear next year so the rear bolts will be gone. Would love to get camber plates in the front but I have yet to see some that work on "stock" suspension without pillowball bushings...

Yes, it rubs the fenders. I have Tokico Illuminas, dampening is set @ 4 (will be putting them @ 5 w/ the new wheels), & RS*R race springs. What are the spring rates of the B-specs? I can't seem to find it anywhere. They aren't listed in the spring thread... I think those sit higher and are stiffer than my springs, although my springs are pretty stiff. (Linear, 280/230, IIRC) So that should help you with clearance & not rubbing.
