Sorry, I guess I always thought the 'rim' was just the metal and a 'wheel' was the metal and rubber tire both...

Bicycle wheels have rims, the same way car wheels have rims, IIRC. I don't know much about bikes, tho... lol

anybody ever use a 1 man brake bleeder system? i got a phoenix systems one and either it sucks or i don't understand english instructions.

Hahaha. Bicycles do have rims... they are the part that the spokes connect the center hub to. It's just a pet peeve of mine.

technically the rim on a bike is the peice inbetween the spokes and the inner tube and tire.

rim - spokes - hub = wheel

anybody ever use a 1 man brake bleeder system? i got a phoenix systems one and either it sucks or i don't understand english instructions.

I bought a cheap one from Autozone that was $8 and it works great. I was always stuck waiting for a friend to bleed my brakes then I saw the little wonder of a one man brake bleeder and my whole world changed. Perhaps you're just not hooking it up correctly? Just make sure the cap and all the lines are sealed or else they will just pull air right back in. But I still think the two person way is the best.

It's just a pet peeve of mine.

Haha! Well in your case, maybe it's best to have two people around to bleed the brakes... One person to pump the brake and the other to actually open the bleeder valve. heh-heh.

Had a bomb dropped on me today. Awesome opportunity if it goes thru. No foul if it doesn't. Some sacrifices would have to be made, but in the grand scheme of things... it'd be good for me.
