Which ones are you going to get and in what color? Or is it a suprise?

I'd call first before ordering, just to make sure they have them in stock or how long the wait will be. I ordered my 5Zigens from a site (way back in the day) and the wheels I bought were on back order for 2 months. So I cancelled the order and paid a little extra for in stock wheels at TireRack.

Speaking of calling ahead... I called CorkSport last week to order my dad some parts (SAI and strut bar) for his 2010 Mazda3 and they were both on back order till the end of this month. But my dad said he checked his account and they charged him a mysterious $320 on top of his charge for the parts+shipping (roughly $367). And the fellow I talked to on the phone was kind of a turkey to me. They wouldn't ship it to the shop we work at, only the billing address for the card. But I had my exhaust shipped to the shop just 2 months ago? So he looked up my account and saw it did indeed, like i would lie about it. Pffsht. So we got him to ship it to the shop, but under my account. My dad called his bank and CorkSport to straighten everything out but it was a big hassle. I love CorkSport and their products so I told my dad to go with them because of the great customer service and products. They really dropped the ball this time... Boo. Aaaaaand, I'm done now. All better.

Evan, I'd say to PM Derrick. He's got an account on here. Let him know of the issues... unless that's who you talked to originally...

Ya, I'm gonna call them up before I order, for sure. Good lookin out tho. (thumb)

And as far as which ones, I'm back full circle to where I started. 5zigen fn01r-c 17x8, matte black. Only thing left to decide is whether or not I want to hassle with a +35 offset. ;)

You think I should get another color? Matte Bronze or anodized silver?

That's unfortunate. They usually are very good on customer service. I had an issue with 1 of the 4 bronze oil bushings i got from them, it was just not fitting to spec as the other 3 did. They sent me a replacement basically no questions asked. Just a couple of e-mails and they asked me to send them a pic of the bushing. Before I even sent them the pic, I had a delivery confirmation email the next day saying the bushing was in the mail...

Well, I've always been a fan of any part matte black. I like murdered out whips and never been into flashy cars. So I think your car would look awesome with matte black wheels. Yellow, with CF and matte black, oh hell yes please.

UCMP3: Matte Black-definitely! Hub Rings should be at Tirerack, or my suggestion is to check wheeldude.com (plus he has an account on here to PM) Also, do the +35 and work those fenders, unless it is WAY too aggressive to do (I dunno anything really about that...)

Now you guys have to help me with what to do with my monies...I like keeping it within this section for more honest and friendly help rather than in the MS3 or other specific forums---after all, you are the ones who may be seeing my car, so.....

First off is the big 60,000 mile tune up. Here is what I am doing so far for it:

1.) 5w-40 Full Synthetic Shell Rotella Motor Oil / Oil Filter Change
2.) Ford XT-M5-QS Transmission Fluid Change (4 quarts should do, I believe)
3.) Denso ITV20 (5339--Stock heat range) Spark Plugs (Anyone know where to buy these???)
4.) PTP PCV Pill to fix/prevent smoking turbo- (already purchased)
5.) Seafoam treatment
6.) Cabin Air Filter Change
7.) Tire Rotation

*My air filter on the intake only has about 15,000 miles or less and does not need changed
*Might install a catch can, but I need to find one on the cheap--any suggestions???
*Might purchase PG's Total Shift Improvement Kit (Short shifter, bushings, and shifter weight) to complete my transmission upgrade along with the new fluid and my rear motor mount I already have installed

What else needs done for my tune up?

After the tuneup I am looking to purchase rims. Here are my top choices:

NEW Enkei Imola Black 18x8 +50 22.1 lbs (about $700 mounted)
NEW Enkei PF01 Black 18x7.5 +xx 18.1 lbs (About $1400 mounted--too expensive but dream wheels!)
NEW Rota Torque Black 18x8.5 +45 WEIGHT UNKNOWN (about $900 mounted)

USED 18 Work Emotion CR KAI Black---about $1000 mounted
USED 18 Enkei RPF1 Black---about $1000 mounted
USED 18 OZ Ultraleggera Black---about $1000 mounted

My final car upgrade for this year (until my birthday!!!!) would be a used Forge Bypass Valve (yeah, I know, for sound only). This should be had for around $100 or less.

The way I figure, the tuneup including the short shifter but no catch can is around $350. Rims around $1000 and the BPV is $100. That's a total of $1450 and I'll have that much by Thursday this week. Sorry for the rant, but I am unbelieveably hesitant to ever pull the trigger and spend my money. Any thoughts, offers, and suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Only the 29er is mine. The other is my buddy Erik's. Unfortunately, I'm not selling it.

James, I have a nice oil catch can you can have. Jasen (iSpoon) gave it to me but it's too big for my engine compartment. It came off his MS3. I've got the hose for it and everything.

I'm going to research all your wheel choices after work. But black wheels on your black MS3 will look so nice! I like helping people spend money. This is fun. (yippy)

Evan helps people spend, and I tell Evan not to spend. Funny...

Let me know what you want for the catch can, Evan! I need someone to give me a solid, definitive answer on my spending, because I can't decide on my own.

My GF says to buy the cheapest rims possible....
My dad wants me to stick with Rota Torques, but I don't know how much they weigh exactly. I want the rims to be aesthetic AND at least as light as stock (lighter would be better)

If anyone has any cheaper, lighter options than the ones I listed...please let me know! Only requirement is that they are black.

These are very cheap (although I don't know the weight) but the brand is unknown to me:

HELP ME!!!

Eh, they're probably still made by the same company who makes the wheels for Enkei, 5Zigen, most OEM wheel offerings... etc...

James, how set are you on the black wheels? I know someone in Columbus who wants to sell a set of gunmetal Enkeis for cheap... with tires.

RPF-1's are lightweight but strong, just remember the old addage, you get what you pay for......My RPF1's have held up well on track and auto-xing as well.

Also, ifyou want to see a few SCCA National winners, come out to Northfield Park this Sunday for the Smackdown Challenge. NWOR, Steel Cities, OVR vs. NORA for bragging rights, cash and trophies...

Novices and rookies are welcome to run: http://forum.noraracing.net/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=3371

Ehhh....I really want black but depending on the price: If I can get 'em and powdercoat/paint (whichever is safer) them for less than buying a brand new set...

What Enkei Model--I love the EKM3, but like I said, I want black.

For some reason, I don't like gunmetal on black because it is a dark car with "sort of" dark wheels....either go silver, black, or bronze....
