What have you done to your P5 today?

dude, alex..NO! do not paint match ur headlights, that looks like butt, for real lol

but today, i wired my 12" slim fan to a switch inside the cabin, so i can turn it on whenever i want to since the ecu didnt seem to ever turn it on, switch works, but the car still has little stumbles here and there, especially when im sitting at a light for a while
Im starting to think maybe a bad ground somewhere, cuz when i have the fan on, the voltage is right at 12V, when its off its at 13.3-ish and thats when it stumbles and stuff
whenever the voltage is at 12 it never stumbles...any ideas?

also got my alum. IC piping in the mail today, going to do a mock up so i can see what couplers i need to buy

Voltage technically shouldn't drop past 12.6, and that's under full electric load. Should be around 14 @ idle (14.4 is perfect, IIRC). But I guess we all know the alternators are crap in these cars...

Have you checked your IAC valve?

Quality, no doubt. Everything they make is good quality. I mean hell, look at how long Dub's resonator has been holding up after having the piss beat out of it by the asphalt.

Alex, I once considered doing that on my P5, but I 1) am lazy and 2) felt it may look too much like a Honda Fit. I still wonder how it would look tho.

uh oh...mine never even reaches 14 lol it stays in the 13's, the highest ive seen it go is 13.8...it actually drops to 11.9 when the fan is on

and yes, i cleaned the IAC valve a while back, wasnt really dirty at all but i cleaned and lubed it up so it wouldnt stick open or closed...
so i could have a bad alt? or a bad battery?

It's possible. Have you tried replacing your power (namely the wire from the alt to the fuse box) & ground wires (also clean up the ground locations)? I would run new wires and clean the ground locations and what not and see if your idle & voltages improve.

go to autozone and have emm check your alternator thats what it sounds like to me lol hell even with my music full blast mine doesn't drop lower then like 13.9

will do, ill check around to see if any of the wires are loose, corroded, or anything like that
appreciate the help guys

Went for a drive with the gf nice cold a/c FTW!!.

Weird thing happened I was at the car wash in the bay just getting done with the car gf calls me over and I see some random guy taking a picture of the front of my car.So I start walking over and said "Is there a problem" and the guy took off.I should have just hit his ass with the pipe I have in my car.

Gonna get the headlight housings paint matched while I get the car fixed...yippie...I will be awaiting the flame fest...haha...

Also thinking of paint matching the turnsignals and fender lights...

Thats the inner honda guy in you taking over. Should look good all said and done.

Painted my emblems black today. Used 3m all purpose adhesive remover spray to loosen up the emblems and then used fishing wire to get em off. Let them sit in goo gone for about 10 minutes. Sanded them w. 220 and 400 grit paper. cleaned em. primer, black gloss paint, and some clear coat. came out nice.

gonna be putting some nite shades on the reflector things on the bumper tomorrow. had some left over from my old car when i did the tails, so i figured what the hell - the amber color is super dumb.

Just wondering, because a capacitor will mask alot of voltage drops, or a weak alt, etc...

yeah i know but it seems to handle it well even with the system bumpin lights don't dim or nothin lol cuz i hate when cars do that lol

well took a look at my battery terminals today, s**** were super corroded, cleaned them off, and put them back on, now my car is back at 13.8-ish, and 12.4-ish when the fan kicks on
figured out why the readings changed so much, i have the fan wired to the same 12v source as my HKS TT, which is what i use to read my volts lol
im gonna rewire it to a 12v acc source so it shuts off when the car shuts off

also put 1 of the new alum IC pipes in, seems to dissipate alot of heat, cuz it was scorching when i turned my car off lol

need to start looking into a false floor design for my subs, or need to sell them to make room for the stroller, if anyone has a false floor sub setup mind pming me a schematic to take a look at? i would need to modify it for 2 10" RF P1s and an amp and go from there. I'm not too concerned about getting to the donut, but it may come in handy one day.

if not, anyone wanna buy some subs in a sealed box? lol

Do it in purple. lol I'm not going to flame you because I know your style. So good luck with that. lol

Purple...lol...nah, not on the lights...

Well, I wouldn't do it if insurance wasn't paying for it...lol...hopefully they turn out good...if not, I just pull them apart and paint them back black...

Lol...Honda FTW...

The only way to go, unless you can manage a MSP/MP3 bumper and fenders w/o holes.

I have one sitting in my garage actually...along with MSP front lip/sides/rear lip...hehe...

That's cause "Murdered Out" was so cool for a while.

I once was "Murdered Out"...dang, those were the days...haha...
