What have you done to your P5 today?

Just wondering, because a capacitor will mask alot of voltage drops, or a weak alt, etc...

Yeah, kinda. It's funny... because in a DC case, capacitors don't do s***. In a steady state case, they're just low impedence resistors. However, the ups and downs of a system they do kinda work...

I have one sitting in my garage actually...along with MSP front lip/sides/rear lip...hehe...

I'm pretty sure you have at least 1 of everything in your garage.

painted my rotors black to hide the rust and make the rims look better since I still cant find center caps that fit. quick fix until I can afford new rotors and find center caps

FINALLY got all the leather covers installed

Hey guys I am new to this forum and I was wondering if somebody can help me I am looking for some parts i cant seeim to find, I was told they don't make them so I figure somebody here may know more I want to build my car with aftermarket internals but cant find pistons or rods i check with eagle and few oders but nothing can anybody help.

forged rods and pistons are pretty easy to find, check out protegegarage.com or google crossover auto

the most popular combo is wiseco pistons and K1 rods because of the pretty reasonable price

got my weather tech window visors installed, and rear brake rotors installed.

found out my rear driver side caliper is seized, so gota get ready and purchase a new set of caliipers. in the mean time, im still driving with the caliper seized.
at least it aint seized all the way pushing the pads onto the rotors the whole time :D

^^^ Katzkin. She bought them from me. :D Well done on your install! They look great. Glad you were able to get your sockets back so you could finish the rear seats. I would say I'll miss them but I just picked up these today from another 247 member.

I'm going to borrow my parents carpet cleaner and clean them really well but they are SO much more comfortable than P5 and MSP seats.

I totally agree, everybody's happy! Haha

But everytime I see pics of your rear seats I'm going to kick myself for sliding my bass case across the leather. Dang it. But mega-kudos to you for getting the covers on so well. I had the easy job of just taking them off and that was tough.

The rods are going to be the hard part to find. K1 is so far behind on producing these, theyve had backorders for a while. Wiseco pistons are also backordered, but you can find sets of them on eBay at least. DarkAngel had a hell of a time trying to find rods and pistons a month ago. He got the last set that K1 had in stock. You might just have to call K1 and order a set and prepare to wait, but check out eBay for the Wiseco pistons.

Those seats look great...I relocated 2 of my three gauges from the radio panel to a pod on the A pillar...also swapped out for the MSP center console/cupholders (swapped it all so that I didn't have the overhang problem)...also put in my MSP DIN pocket...

Have a few things I need to put up FS...MSP Headlights, Grill, Radiator, Side Mount, Yellow Stitch boot and a few other things...

keep in mind that its not a good idea to bore anything over .020" with our motors (per maxx and other mazda techs). the FS block has water passages that are too close to the cylinder walls. so if you go right to .020" right away, you wont have any room to rebuild later. just wanted to give you the heads up on that.

you could just spend the extra cash and get pauter rods like me :D
its going to take a while regardless, i ordered my pistons and rods in august and got them finally in december, and they were both in stock...
