NEMOC Random BS Thread

Morning all. Happy hump day. Did an oil and filter change yesterday, rotated the wheels. The Star Specs are holding up well. 11k on them and they still look great.

Leaving tomorrow for the Gap. Plan on 2 days each way. Will also drive the Skyline Drive on the way down on day 2. Looking forward to seeing the "Dragon".
awesome! have a great trip bruce!
I'd be careful here. If you wait too long the rust will spread rapidly and especially over the winter time which may result in having to spend twice as much for repair next year.
(iagree)
Got a tear in driver's seat outside bolster. Anyway to patch that easily? iron on patch or something?
i have a place that can probaly fix that....we should talk
Haha. Yup, that's how I had it set up. So did Mark. No worries though, I took all that out when I sold the car.

Trust me, even if the ground was black and the power was red some people would still screw it up.

ahhmm *cough* *cough* Mark and Josh *cough* *cough*

Wires not the issue, battery was flipped. Doh!
i was waiting for this(whistle)
Damn!! I'll have to re-think my startegy too. I was showing a co-worker (who restores cars - his current show car is a '66 Falcon vert) and he thought my fender would be good thru this winter......

This is what he recommended I use http://www.por15.com/
that stuff is expensive but i hear and have seen it, to be awesome! i'm going to try it on my doors and rear hatch before winter....my fenders are just fine? phen, i actually feeling like crying when i see your car now...(cryhard) i've seen cars 3x as old with less rust and in some cases 0 rust!

Yeah I know that, I tried explaining that to him, and he still insists it'll last. I think I will try to get it done late sept early october.

got the car back together, and not too happy...was some rubbing on the pass. front wheel, was just the brake shield scraping the rotor, so that's fixed. steering feels wicked weird, but i think i need to get the alignment done first before I can judge. Still hear clicking noise ala the CV shafts, so now i'm wondering if it's something else.

Oh and I get to pull the driver's rear wheel off again and see why the f$&* the shock is making noise. Sounds like the spring isn't seated right...hopefully I can fix it without taking it all apart (something just sounds loose) other than that...I put the massive oil filter on from a Corvette, and the gear oil feels good, smooth shifting and all that.

Thanks Tony.

Bruce, that's what I would do.

Sewed up the tear for now.

This was actually a tech tip in the Aug issue of GRM....I say go for it.

LOL, That's where I got the idea for a patch. Just need to find some suitable patches.

Let me know. Also need that place to get some material for the splitter.

Starting the day awesomely. Coolant leak on the MS6 and I don't know where it's coming from. Currently sitting on the side of the road.

"Wow my power windows are fast!" (whistle)

I bet if the glass was sharp we could have sliced through fruit.

messed with the rear wheel a bit but clunking noise is still there :(

the bottle did not over flow?

Anyone have suggestions for air compressors? I'm looking for it to be small and somewhat portable (be able to bring in the condo from the detached garage). Having it include the accessories as a package would be a plus.

Hopefully just the drain plug is shot and it needs to be replaced. If the housing is cracked then it'll be a whole new radiator.. That's about 250 bucks.

My dad has an electric one.

+1. Read wrenching meet.

Morning Gang. Happy Friday Eve. Lol!

Who got those crazy thunderstorms last night? I was shocked because all we got was light rain in my town.

Monster Trucks tonight at the Fair. Maybe I'll go.

Morning everyone!

Hope it's just your drain plug Chris! I'm awaiting to hear some bad/good news....bad for the checkbook but good for Karen. :)
