WTF?

The power wire is black, the ground wire is red?

This will not end well for someone.
Trust me, even if the ground was black and the power was red some people would still screw it up.

Got a tear in driver's seat outside bolster. Anyway to patch that easily? iron on patch or something?
Vinyl or fabric?

I used a patch kit from PepBoys to fix some vinyl tears in Amanda's Jeep seats. It worked great for the small ones but the large tears opened up again.

I priced out paint, for for my car, 1k to do it all....whole car and rust fixed. Im going to call the powder coater today or tomorrow and get a price on the valve cover and short ram. 170 to tint. so....it'll take a little bit but it'll be worth it come the spring when its all done. Just not sure if I should go coils or just get new springs and struts. I think I talked about this before, I think from what ive read the illuminas and either tein s techs or eibach pro kit is the way to go. I dont want to be slammed, i just want a decent drop.

I'd be careful here. If you wait too long the rust will spread rapidly and especially over the winter time which may result in having to spend twice as much for repair next year.

Trust me... in a P5, that s*** spreads like crazy.

As an example for you...

To those who say "That s*** doesn't happen over night" I say look at the dates. It's not over night (a couple nights in those two pics) but it was pretty damn fast...

no, fix it. They're great cars. Just make sure it's fixed sooner than later, and by a competent person. Mine was "fixed" before I got the car, so that could have assisted in the complete breakdown.

Damn!! I'll have to re-think my startegy too. I was showing a co-worker (who restores cars - his current show car is a '66 Falcon vert) and he thought my fender would be good thru this winter......

This is what he recommended I use http://www.por15.com/

I know well my brother in law owns a shop and looked at it and said i would be good thru the winter, that way come spring/tax time i could get it all done.

Really? Not from my experience. Also, a common misconception is looking at the surface rust only. Think of it this way, take the amount of rust you actually see and double it because rust forms on the inside where you can not see it. Plus it is far spread under the paint as well.
