MS3 was definitely out before the STI hatch. Weren't the MS3s released in late '06 as an '07 model? That subie was released for the '08 model year.

All I know for sure is, when my boy (an '05 STI owner) saw the STI hatch, his first response was "it looks like a Mazda"

Agreeing with everybody on the subie copying some looks from the mazda.

Funny story. About a month or two ago I was driving home from work and I happened upon a brand new evo 10. Be both cAme to a stoplight where he happens to be turning left. Before his light turns green he unrolls his window and screams "Subie's suck!" I was like what the hell!? I looked to my right expecting to see a Subaru next to me but it was just me and him. I laughed all the way home. Silly evo fan-boys.

Personally I prefer the new Sedan STI over the hatch.

the sti hatch was helped in design by Peter Solberg & comp to compete with the size of the citron's and Focus' compact hatch design for the WRC.... so im afraid the MS3 had nothing to do with the hatch. just a coincidence, but it is annoying that ppl think that they are similar... the sti's front end is nowhere near as good looking as the MS3. Honestly my favorite part of the front end of our MS3s is the blown hood that hides the intercooler air channel. no obnoxious scoop and it looks beefy and mean, yet keepin it stealthy....

If only our hatch was AWD...

He has GT3076 and did it cool down the under the hood temps.. I wouldn't do it but it does serve it's purpose as he has stated it has helped.

I just removed my side molding/de-badged my ms3 and took a step back, it looks more like a subaru so I was just wondering, has anybody modified there car to look more like a wrx or sti? hood scoop, spoiler....it would deff fool some people
