I was thinking of doing the whole thing at Water Works park, behind the actual water park. It's nice and big back there with a nice picnic area. More room.

Nicely done EECMM children. I don't even think it's cool to draw things next to your name or make your name stand out, seems pretty arrogant to me. Sign it, and move on. Unless you're a race car driver for Mazda or work in the crew.

LOL, I totally agree, but this reminded me of a guy I used to work with. After he would sign his name, he would make the last line of his last name curve around all awkwardly and squiggle some s***. He said it was a spider & that he had done it since he was a kid. It was weird, lol. He was all around just an odd fellow, tho...

Haha, I would have to agree. (rofl)

You would understand if you met him, tho. He was a great guy when he didn't come in strung out from the night b4... Then I had to work 2+ stations on the line @ once to cover for him. If you've ever known/seen someone 12 hours after being deep into heroin, you know how fast they will be moving and how slow their thought process is. Doesn't work well in a production kitchen.

That's too bad cause that is a great idea. maybe next year we can do a travleing grand-am flag at the races for all the members that go to the corrals

I was given a flag by John Doonan of Mazdaspeed Motorsports just for that reason. BTW Mazda USA and MAzdaspeed Motorsports has seen that flag and will not offer any support of the EECMM meets.

No Mazda team will support that meet as well, nor will I. Who was ever running it, should have been overseeing the signing of the flag. That flag cannot go to Mazda Corp., they're not happy at all!

Thanks for this info. It's sad to see something with the greatest intentions be ruined by a handful of people who decided to be immature about it.

If I can, I'd be happy as heck to sign the new one and possibly have the ALMS team sign it when they come to LRP this year.

No they don't. I feel you on the angry part. After all the effort we put in to get the Mazda race teams to sign it at LRP makes it feel like a waste.

Phen, you've got to relax. Just with that picture, it has caused irreversible damage to that group and event. Hell, Mazda USA themselves has shunned them. You can't go any bigger than that. They are totally screwed. You can't do much better than that.

I know. I'm better today. The right people got involved and things are being taken care of. I feel bad for the "good apples" that attend that event because let's face it... that event has had a bad reputation on this site ever since the beginning, due to the folks who set it up. This little incident definitely didn't help their cause.
