2006 MS6 wwp
Hey guys,

I've been on here for awhile, but I'm new to the NEPOC section. I know Ben and Carlson and have met them a couple times, and that's about it. I got my defogger pod from Ben, and he was kind enough to teach me how to install my SF +TIP, as I had never worked on a car before. Thanks Ben! :)

I have an 2006 wwp MS6 that just tripped 30K the other day, and the mods in my sig. I'm pretty much where I want to be mod-wise for a while, and I'm broke as a joke, so that works out quite well, lol. Me and a friend installed my cpe fmic last week, complete with boost leaks, lol. I'm hoping to get them fixed up on Thursday with another buddy. I would have fixed them sooner, but I live in a condo, and you can't do any work on your car in the lot, so I have to work around other people's schedules, but I'm just glad to have some help. I've also gotten into ATR quite a bit in the last few months, and really like it. I want to hit the track in Epping once I get my boost leaks fixed, and my car tuned just right. Oh, and my name is Doug, if you hadn't already guesed ;)

Welcome aboard. Are you also part of the Get Fresh Crew? ;)

Thanks man! Yup, I'm coming back from the dead, and going on tour... I'll be at the Cape Cod Melody Tent in August. Ticket prices are a sack of chronic, and a couple 40's of OE.

Heyooooooooooo! Yay another WWP! I love that color..

(hi) Heyoooooooo yourself! Thanks on the color :) Now I just have to learn how to keep her clean. I recently met a buddy in town who picked up an MS6 who said I could wash it as his place anytime. I definitely want to learn how to clean her up nice, but I got really sick this weekend, and although I'm on the mend, I'm not sure I can make it. I gotta play it by ear.

Gots to have the Chronic. You have a week to feel better. Club initiation starts on the 15th. Also, significant others are allowed to join in our activities if so desired.

Cooool. I doubt my gf will want to come, but we'll see. I bombard her with forum talk on a daily basis... I'm surprised she hasn't knocked me out yet. Good news... I just saw my primary care physician as a follow up, and he said he thinks I just tore some tissue in my chest.. cartilage or something I already forgot what he said, lol. Basically, I'm not sick, just really screwed up my chest from over exertion (not my pecks, but the tissue). I'm sure it was due to tightening bolts during the fmic install to the point where they snapped off, and lugging the 3-ton jack, stands, and creeper out of my trunk solo. It says "two person lift" on the box for a reason, lol.

He said to take it easy until it feels normal (no wrenching) which could be a few days to several weeks! :( That includes washing/waxing... He said I could re-injure it if I don't let it heal properly, so I'm definitely gonna listen. I blew out my rotator cuff bad a few years ago, and haven't been able to lift since despite PT twice. And that sucks.

Thanks man, and that sounds cool. I need to buy a helmet... which sucks because other tracks rent em' out for like $3. I'm just gonna hollow out a watermelon and stick it on my dome. A buddy of mine does a lot of drag racing, and he said we should go on a Wednesday during the day. He said it's $100, but you can get a dozen runs in if you want.... you practically have the track to yourselves. Price-wise it's worth it, imo. You'd have to go up a half dozen times at $20/pop to get 10 runs in on weds/sat street night anyways (or whatever it's called), plus it's a bit of a hike. I wouldn't do more than 5-7 runs in a day, but it sounds like that would be cool, especially for the going up there for the first time (not crowded, take your time, plenty of runs to practice, etc..). Have you ever done that? I didn't even know you could.

Welcome aboard! Plan on going to the OCC meet?

I just checked out this thread. I just realized that Ma-Dukes is flying into FL that day, and I'm picking her up. I think she's coming in on the 5th... I'll have to double check. My gf is from NY, so that might work out well... make a weekend out of it. Not sure, gotta check when her flight is.
