NEMOC Random BS Thread

Wow! Love the creativity in this video. Simply amazing work. The nostalgic use of the Atari games cracked me up.

WOW!!! That is an awesome video!!!!!!!! Haha I liked the Space Invaders best.. Benefit of having siblings significantly older than you.. the only gaming system I had growing up was Atari. Used to have to bang the controller to get them to work. I had the Indy racing game too!

Morning everybody.

It was nice to see a lot of you over the weekend. Maybe next time the weather will be better....but at least Mahk has a nice big garage.

Back in the office and tired.....so glad that this Friday is my scheduled day off.....

Um, how can one here not ask?

Ok....you asked...

8:00 - Wake up, out the door to Sears.
8:20 - Arrive at Sears, discover they don't open until 10:30. Drive to AutoZone
8:30 - Arrive at AutoZone, grab battery, wait in line for 20 mins.
9:00 - Arrive home, remove old battery
9:10 - Put new battery in, realize the new battery is slightly larger than the old one...
9:15 - Clamp down battery and attach positive/negative terminals. Realize the posts are on the opposite side of the new battery. Positive "wire" is ~2 inches short.
9:30 - Take a 15 min "pissed off" break.
9:40 - Walk across the street to Ace Hardware to see if they have hardware to build a 2 inch connector. No.
9:45 - I decide I'm too lazy to drive 20 mins back up to AutoZone and return the battery. Rummage through my father's workshop to see if he has the correct stuff to make a connector. He's got half of what I need.
10:00 - call my neighbor to see if he's got the other half of what I need. Nobody is home.
10:10 - Jimmy the door on my neighbors garage.
10:20 - Find what I need
10:30 - proceed to build the connector.
10:45-11:00 - Stab my finger while stripping wire and cry for 15 mins.
11:15 - install connector
11:30 - connect to battery
11:30-12:00 - Try to put the battery cover back on, oversized battery is making it difficult.
12:05 - Fist-slam cover onto battery....fits like a glove.
12:10 - Done.

A Mustang Dyno will read about 12% lower than a Dynojet

so given that, youre about

180whp
187ft/lbs

not too shabby

Oh I know it's lower. That part doesn't bother me. The fact that an MSM with almost everything I have except the injectors, standalone ECU, and different exhaust put down 200 on the same dyno. That part bothers me. Couple that with the 1/4 mile times I ran last year on the same tune and you have one helluva goofy question. Even the 180 estimate wouldn't give me a 13.73 sec @ 103.22 quarter mile from a car that weighs 2600-2700 lbs with driver.

Power to weight ratio...

2600 lbs car with 180whp running high 13's is a standard number assuming there is a good driver behind the wheel and gets a good launch...

the rx8 only puts about 190's to the rear wheels stock and runs in the 14-15's and weighs about 3k...

Good morning! I might be getting some rx-8 wheels with blizzaks on them this weekend! woohoo for sweet wheels and winter tires for next season :)

p.s. I'm really excited for the cape run coming up in less than 2 weeks!
