one inch lug nuts

(gah)...I've searched the forum as well as websites and I can't find any black or blue lug nuts like the 1" OEM bulge acorn 12mmx1.5 that come with the stock RH's. I tried a black lug that was about 1.4 " but it just stuck out too far for my taste. I am insane for wanting a colored lug nut the same size as the OEM?

Anyone know where I can find colored lugs in the OEM size? Thanks for any input..

Well not yellow pointed me in the right direction for some black lug nuts. Here's the change-up photos:

The shortest closed-end lugnuts I found that come available in colors are the Rays and Work brands. The Rays have a good blue color for our cars but are "Duraluminum" and sell for $150. The Work brand are shortest at approx 1.2" but the blue is lighter and almost aqua colored and the price is $125.

I ended up going with Dorman brand; cheap at $30-$35 delivered and the blue color is nearly perfect, and they come with four locks and a socket-key. However, they are also 35mm (1 & 3/8 inches). I personally don't mind the extra length. In fact its really growing on me! I'll post a pic or two a little later.

IMHO the different color hue does not complement your setup. Ya got any touch-up Laser Blue paint to try on those lugs?

Actually, in most lighting conditions the lugnut color is about perfect. But like all of the "mica" colors used on MSPs they go darker in low light and these pics were taken in the late afternoon on a very cloudy day. I'll get more pics on a sunny day so you can see the difference.

In any case, I wouldn't paint the lugnuts. The paint wouldn't stand up to the socket used to remove them.

Hmmm.... I like it, I wonder how it would look with the Racing Harts.

My RH's will become my winter tire setup next fall and I plan to run the same spacers and lugnuts then. I think it'll look great; possibly even better than with the Miata rims.

Okay, I'm looking forward to the other pics. They just look a lighter hue of blue in those photos.

BTW, have you tried the RH's w/the 10mm spacers & longer lugs? I'm guessing they'll sit even more flush with the fender then...
