What color to paint RX-8s

Great color choice.

Now all you have to do stand by the tire installer with a loaded .45 at his head while he mounts tires on them to make sure he doesn't scratch and chip the crap out of them.

Bastards just beat the hell out my stockers mounting the factory rubber back on them last week. Two rims have deep gouges like they dropped the wheels on the lug nuts or something stupid like that. They will be my winter rims next year so I'm not that upset, but this outfit will never touch a good set of wheels from me, and I am not going back. This is a case of local guys who apparently don't give a s*** about their job or their customer's stuff.

What was your final, total cost on just the RX8's with powdercoat?

This is so much better looking than most of the aftermarket crap out there.

What I really like is you won't see some clown in an Oldsmobile or Grand Am or a Civic running the same rims. Not only that, they're just the right width and offset IMO for this car. Not too wide and no fender roll required if you run stock suspension and the right tires. Plus they're OEM quality etc.

I gotta find a set. Everything I'm seeing on Ebay is rashed up, overpriced, overbid crap.

picked up the rx8s for 120+ my stock swaybars to a mz3

105 per wheel for PC

768 for the tires +50 mail in rebate

rolling fenders was required

EDIT: these were rashed but he was able to fill them in and pc over it, cant even tell.
 
I absolutely love the new color. I cannot wait to see them on the car. :)

Gunmetal Powder coat, just need some RX-8 R3 wheel centre caps - anyone know the part number?

I like that gun metal color. Looks great on CWP and other colors.
My MS3 is MGM so I want something like the black chrome. The gun metal is too close in color to MGM and it wouldn't look right. Also thought about bronze, but I really like the black chrome or Shinka or Hyperblack or whatever you want to call it. Basically a brighter base coat silver with a smoke clear etc.

I guess if I find a set that's a bit rashed, they can do the same cleanup work to mine and make them look new. Maybe that's a better way to go anyway. Find them cheaper because they're rashed up and get them redone before the PC or paint. Nice work 8.5MS3.
 
i dont understand why every review from your side of the pond is sub-par for this platform, and here its the opposite. i guess its just the cars available. Id drop it in a heartbeat for a Focus RS500 tho.
