2013~2016 CX-5 Electric driver's seat not going up and down

The electric driver's seat on my 2016 CX-5 Grand Touring has stopped going up and down. The lumbar support works and the back rests moves correctly. My local garage (who I use for maintenance and is a trustworthy guy) mentioned that the "track" needs replace and with parts and labor the cost would be $650 which was a shock. I have an appointment next week at my local Mazda dealer for a comparison. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

Thanks.

Yeah, the Mazda service manual (and 3rd party manuals) probably tells them to do that. Places aren't actually going to disassemble the assembly and figure out if it is a motor or simple switch. Maybe a smaller indy shop would do that for you but you may just have to pay up for a new assembly unless you want to troubleshoot the issue yourself. Tech time is too valuable $200+/hrs today to have a guy spend a few hours fixing the problem isn't economic. Everything is remove + replace with new because then they can warranty the part and warranty the work. So if the new assembly is $300 and the guy spends 1 hrs of labor on it $200 then plus tax+fees youre up to $600+.
