until this post, you actually looked intelligent. now you're just a mouth piece without intellect to back it up.

if we're going to argue definitions so we all "get the point" as you say, then let me "call you on it" with the real definition. don't make up what words mean in your own mind to defend a defenseless position. i can name two devices that do the exact same thing the ipad does. and i have, a million times over, an iphone and an ipod touch...
Well! I must say... I'm rather shocked at the tone and condescending nature of this post. I thought you had more class than that so I can't help but feel disappointed and personally offended.
But this is the internet so I guess personal assaults and lame attempts to insult one's intelligence are par for the course. The fact that you're using the existence of the iPhone and iTouch as reasons why the iPad is NOT innovative is comical to me. Their innovation isn't mutually exclusive. 2 cannot be innovative while the other is not. It just doesn't make any sense! lol I guess that's where the disconnect is.
Regardless... since you took it upon yourself to include the definition of 'innovation' in your post (a rather odd definition I must say) I'll include one myself. No, not the one me and all the other mental patients I share a padded cell with subscribe to... but Websters.
1) The introduction of something new
2) A new idea, method or device.
Notice I didn't include the phonetics or any other irrelevant crap from the definition itself. Only a tool would do that. Oh wait... lol
But seriously... The introduction of something new. Yes, it's an oversized iTouch. We get it already! lol But it's still different enough. It's like saying the mini cooper and mini cooper clubman are the SAME FREAKIN CAR!!! one's a mini and the other's a fugly mess. albeit... basically just a bigger version of the original. yet... they both find a way to exist in this crazy world of ours. Weird! Back on the subject at hand though... Yes, it's extremely similar to an already stellar product Apple makes. As crazy as it might seem... I guess Apple didn't want to mess with the remarkable success and unanimous critical acclaim too much. I know I know... that's just insane. Bottom line: While it may not be as fresh as the original iPhone... it's still a new device. A new method of doing things. People generally don't surf the web (like they do on a traditional computer) on an iPhone. The screen's are simply too small. This will allow them that means... or... to put it another way, provide them with a different 'method'.
Anyway... this will be my last post on this matter. Intelligent debate is one thing but once things cross the line and fall into the gutter I'm out. I don't need to be told I'm a mouthpiece with no intellect. That's just a fancy way of calling me an idiot. Clearly the horse has been beaten to oblivion. Though I will not be buying one (I need to know it can be jailbroken first. It also needs a front facing cam w/4G connection) but... it'll still be a huge hit and, with the help of the developer community, provide a ton of innovation above and beyond what the current crop of Apple products offer.
