What have you done to your P5 today?

Going to redo the carpet for the false floor
in the trunk and put back the other half of the trunk cage.

x3, factory rims ftw! I am actually contemplating painting my cx7's magnesium, similiar to what you'll find on the Mazdaspeed MS-01S rims...

x4...I've had 02 P5 wheels, 05 Tribute wheel and now 06 MX-5 wheel on the P5 and the wife has the 2010 3i wheels in the shed for winter use and 2004 RX8 16" wheels for summer use.

coming from a guy with zero mods..doesnt mean much to me lol
but i guess to each his own, i like to have a highly modified car, not a stock one

So because he has no mods his opinion doesn't matter to you? So if someone like Brianmp5t said he didn't like it, you wouldn't?

Filed out the rest of the holes for the 'rain guard' of the hood today and got it mounted properly. Also cleaned the intake filter....gotta love the dryflow, so easy to do. Did get a scare when I put it back on though (thought it was dry enough) and started the car up. She sputtered at first and when I gave her some gas the cel went solid. I shut her down and after sitting for a couple of hours I went back out and no more cel. Took a drive through the neighborhood sans filter and all seemed okay.

I just traded my Mazda3 wheels for the standard Mazda3 16" wheels. :) They were painted black and are slightly chipped but I'm repainting them silver soon.

16s FTL. I also really dig the MSP lights, but preferred the look of the P5 lights.

I found a Dark Gray engine enamel while at Autozone today, I think I'm gonna paint my wheels that color.

I DROVE IT! its been since August that I havent drove it... and well it still needs work cause above 30mph-ish it shakes real bad, rough idle and gauges dont work. yay me!

To you guys with 205/45/16 tires, can you post some pictures? I think I want to get them on the Mazda3 wheels.

I'm all too familiar with 205/50/16, I had that size on the P5 wheels. I'm just wondering if 205/45/16 is worth it.

-rolled my fenders with a real fender roller
-Seafoamed my motor
-changed the oil to Castrol full synthetic and K&N oil filter
-changed my spark plugs to NGK long reach plugs
-touched up some rust with a temporary paint job
-rewired my powered sub

And co-hosted an install/fender rolling party. Today was a good day.

x2, I like factory wheels.

Hah, I have two sets of mazda wheels for each car...
Factory rims FTW...

looks like a few people here like factory wheels.

lol. so im not modded huh. i have mods, just not go fast mods. mine is more in the stereo and subtle, functional realm.

just because i dont have "mods" doesnt mean i dont know about them. i also find it funny that you care so much since you were looking at a msp lip not too long ago.

my p5 is my daily. my fs-de almost has 100k miles, doesnt burn oil, and doesnt make funny noises. i plan on keeping it until it rusts out. i dont want to aggravate anything by adding boost. (it is an auto anyways... and yes i can drive stick, but couldnt find a standard p5 at the time)

i'd like it either way, just doesnt mean much when someone with no mods gives me opinions on modding a car

its ok, i dont really care about the opinions of someone just out of high school either. (kiss)

and the only thing about your car i dont like is the dg lip. i give you props for going turbo though. i plan on doing the same, just not to this p5. when i get my miata down the road, or whatever my project car will be, i will do all sorts of stuff to it. i just cannot afford it right now. (saving for a house, and have a new baby)

to be on topic, i got to enjoy another beautiful detroit sunrise in my p5 today. to make it double sweet, it is my friday as well!

not tryin to start s***, was just sayin
and i was lookin at the MSP lip because i have always liked that one better, but as you know
they are discontinued so there pretty dam hard to find

i actually told the guy i released dibs and i can get it from the replica GB if i wanted one
and not sure what just out of high school has to do with modding cars but thats your opinion so ill respect it
Good day

you assumed something so i assumed something.

that is all

i still respect your car.

the msp lip looks much better. however, i know how rare they are now. hopefully the group buy will turn out for ya.

I know I want to get rid of my busted Auto exe lip. I hope he makes lots of them lol.

I didn't get a chance to do what I wanted last night, so tonight I'm going to try and re do the carpet (trunk) and put up the trunk cage.

Also I'm going to tune my sub . Down loaded tracks to a cd to test it out with a multi meter. Well see how that goes.

i love the dg/autoexe lip painted *shrug* really fits the lines of the car. yes it is a heavy lip but it makes the front end look finished. i think the msp lip is bland. yes it is there, yes it is a lip, but it is a meh lip. i did the dg because of the two main choices it is there haha. i also wanted to keep my fog lights without expensive ass brackets
