Thoughts?

Not heard the Corksport in person so only going off of comments and Youtube vids -

I'm not 100% positive, but from posts I've read it seems that a CBE is not really necessary / won't really produce any bang for the buck, as the OEM exhaust already does the trick.

You could consider spending that $$ on a short shifter though. :]

Might I just recommend:

Turbosmart BPV
TRZ RMM
CS Test Pipe

A test pipe will give a more aggressive, deeper tone and help the turbo spool quicker. Plus a nice bump in power you can feel with the butt dyno. Plus, you will still have some coin left after.

so i found this vid - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2vejJyBejvc does not sound much different than stock - a little maybe more in person. I came from an SRT4 so i guess i am missing that burble. Thought the CBE route would get me back in that neighborhood from an sound standpoint. Power gains are good but not necessary. Also want get something i can get set up and leave alone - not looking for anything i'd have to jack around with down the road - no cels wanted.

thanks for the feedback

So i orderd, received and installed a TRZ Rear MM, a TurboSmart BPV and an HKS CBE (actually paid a guy at Midas some after hours $$ since i was not able to cut out the OEM exaust - took him and 2 other guys all of 15 minutes to cut out the old and bolt up the new - Shazam!!!)

There is some added vibration from the mount at about 1500 RPM but otherwise very tolerable. AC does add to it though. Shifts catch and hold nicely and the engine is not pitching around like it used to. Gear selection comes easier under acceleration. Everything feels smoothed out and with the new BPV on power delivery is constant and acceleration is steady - had some slight hesitation before.

HKS CBE adds some tone to the exaust note that is nice and the angled tip looks sharp. The guys that put it on for me were staring at this pretty big muffler can as it was sitting there in the box with my car on the rack and i know they were thinking this thing isn't going to fit (looks like a 55 gallon drum - anyone run without this?) but it bolted right up. Looks tight.

Overall it was money well spent -Can't really tell if it pulls much harder than before - maybe a bit - but it is 1000% smoother, shifting no longer makes me cringe under acceleration and it sounds better doing it - gets a nice growl at WOT.

** My buddy helped me pull off the MM and all he could keep doing when we pulled it off was pushing the rubber bolt holder piece around with his thumb and asking how that thing kept the engine in one place - the rubber insert also looked like it was peeling from the mount edges - POS!

Glad to hear you like it. How much louder is the CBE than stock? I would think a huge chambered muffler like that would quiet it down a bit... much like the RB CBE.
