In other news my 8 is dead until further notice. Gotta replace the spark plugs (was going to replace them this spring anyways) and the battery. I'm more than sure the spark plugs are shot...35k miles on the car + 3 years of sitting in dealership parking lots doing nothing.
Was fiddling around after about 20 mins of deflooding procedures, wondering why the charge on my battery sucked so much. Turns out it was bone dry on the inside...no water...probably no acid. Awesome.
Great timing since I just told my boss earlier this afternoon I'd cover shifts all weekend. So in the driveway it stays until I find the time to get it running again.
Edit: When the hell did batteries get so expensive???

Helped Marc install some new stuff tonight... (and last night)... battery mount for a 16-lb racing battery, mounted on a cut-to-shape cutting board... ran wires for pos and negative, kept the grounding kit wires on... also a new Mazdaspeed intake, where we dremelled a part of the elbow off (as per Eric Meyer's racing team's experience, for moar torque).

Poor cell phone pic, but you can kinda sorta see the racing battery mounted in top left.
With the stock intake gone and the stock battery gone, it's crazy how much space there is in the engine bay. I don't have a good pic of that though.

HAHA that sux Mahk! Going to the stealership today, they have the wifes new radio in. So gonna drop it off, go out for the day with the little guy and the wife. Have to get my car to the shop to get painted at some point, my brother in law said hes pretty slow so if I drop it off tomorrow, I can have it back by the weekend.

I had something interesting happen last night while I was working on a test... In college I had a habit of sleep writing if I was really tired.. falling asleep and writing at the same time.. and it comes out as scribbles and words that don't make sense together. Last night, for the first time, I was sleep typing... I was typing words.. but none of it made sense. That's when I gave up and went to bed...
