It's my understanding that Mazda's torque sensing system in the 2010 speed 3 limits boost/power in the first few gears and depending on steering angle. With that said when you start adding performance parts, such as those I see offered from Corksport, it seems like we are trying to get more power out of the motor while the motor is trying to take it back.
Are the power gains from adding performance parts seen only while in higher gear, like 3rd and up, or can they be felt in 1st and 2nd as well?
Also, for example, with a car like the speed3 why would Mazda not offer a high performance downpipe with a divorced wastegate right from the get-go? I know at one time they offered a CAI for the first gen speed3 but then took it back. Would we expect to see a CAI and or exhaust offered for the new car, backed by full factory warranty? Thoughts?
