Post The Best Pictures of Your Mazda

You'd probably loose your car before the number plate if you use proper double sided tape.
Also I didnt mean to put the plate directly on the bumper. Just like it is now, but without drilling the bumper.

I have been pulled by the sheriff in my last car for having a tinted cover on my rear plate. He chased me down and stayed behind me for a couple miles. Pulled me and asked me to get out of the car. We walked around the back and said he couldnt read my plate when he was a few car lengths behind me. He just gave me a warning and asked me to remove it. Even so I have been running a tinted plate on my 6 for over a year now and no problems.

heh, word, i got a tinted rear licence plate cover. looks good with my car color

I have already been pulled over for speeding, he walked right past the plate and even looked at it to write down the licence #... but no fix-it, not even a warning... lolz

I disagree. Double stick tape (what is proper? I've used the best 3M has to offer) is not a 100% hold solution. Extreme temperatures compromise the hold and it does wear out over time. Plus it's subject to bumping since I live in the city and park on the street.

And what's the advantage anyway? I'm never going to be able to take the plate off, so what's the difference?

You can buy brackets for plates where they fold under the bumper. My dad was looking to get one for the Vette so he doesn't have to drill into the front bumper...

My friend has a hide a way one on his gti. It tucks under the car and pulls out and flips up. My only concern is if you scrape its sure to hit on the plate.

I must be one lucky SOB. Have not had the required front plate on my RX-8, or my P5, or my Acura before that. So about 8 years. Dang!

OK... that one I haven't tried ;)

Thing is, if it's that strong, it'll pull paint off if the bracket ever does need to be removed.

its actually not that bad. To remove it from my RC car, I used a really sharp knife to cut the foam in between the 2 sticky sides. Then, I used Goo-Gone. Worked like a charm

Ive always ran without one until last summer I got more than a fix it ticket. He cited me for something else basically says if I get pulled over the for the same again, because Ive been cited for this CVC, I will be given a point on my record. now I rock the angled plate. im sure theres not much flow blocked being mounted in the center, but the angled plate can also push airflow into the fmic

Magnetic license plate replicas. if that would be legal.

/discussion :D

I want a magnet that will stick to plastic and fiberglass. LOL. I like that qwik. You should try it and report for those of you who have to run then.
