Who do you guys have install your Engine Mounts?

Hey all,

I'm pretty sure I can't do this myself. Who do you have install your mounts? How can I find a trustworthy mechanic to do it?

You can do it alone and it onlly takes a few minutes for each replacement. There is a how - to but I don't have the link to it.

Oh, then go to a well known place like Midas. Don't know the cost but it should'nt be that much.

Any local shop should be able to do it fairly cheap. Takes about 10-15 minutes with a lift.

2 friends
2 jackstands
1 torque wrench
1 socket set
1 tube of loctite.

put car on jacks

unbolt 3 horizontal bolts from bracket holding rmm to transmission (engine will not move/fall)

unbolt rmm from said bracket

bolt new mm to said bracket

bolt bracket back to transmission

bolt rmm to frame

all the while torquing everything to 80ft lbs and using plenty of loctite

friends are there for several reasons:

1. to hand you beer
2. moral support
3. engine may need to be rocked back or forward a bit to line everything up perfectly
