NEMOC Random BS Thread

My dad really likes his Tacoma but it is the newer/bigger one. It seems like you are really leaning towards the Avalanche and that offers everything you are looking for. And like Chris said you can always make the bed a bit bigger when needed for hauling larger items.

woohoo! Out of work at noon, home by 12:30...can't beat that.

P.S. - I'm only out this early because I'm not telling my boss I'm done until ~2:30ish so there's no time to send me to some other job (evil)

Anyone have experience with the newer Explorers? I love the tahoe, but they are so expensive.

I can never think about the avalanche without thinking of this article about its caddy brother from C&D

My father was chatting with an owner of an EXT as they were both checking out the new model at the car show this year. I walked over and started poking his decision to own one. After dodging a few questions he agreed to disagree on all my points about how his truck was a waste of 10-15 G's but he did admit that part of his purchase decision was based on "keeping up with the jones's". Personally, I don't ever want to live in a neighborhood where the entry fee is buying one of these gawd awful contraptions. I thought the Escalade was bad enough, but slapping a pick-up bed on the back is an even bigger waste....but at least that'll be a few less GM employees that get laid off this year because there are people out there that actually feel the need to own one.

I wish Ford would replace the ancient Ranger. I feel it is the right size truck that I would need. But I do love driving my dad's 09 Sliverado EXT Z71 and the F-350 Superduty diesel.

I would not be buying a Slade but a BMW X5d w/ a trailer hitch. I see people playing "keeping up with the Jone's." all the time.

I've towed with one of those. The X5 does not tow well.

We use to tow a 99 BMW e36/2 M3 track car on a featherlite trailer with an 06 X5 4.8is which never had a problem. The X5 is no means a work truck.
