Received some HID components from my GF for Xmas, and I'll be ordering the Infinity FX-R projectors sometime this week.

For a 2002 Protege5 what should I get for Lo beam and fog?

These are plug and play ballasts right?

So I pick up the H7 and H3 kits for low and fogs correct?
I just want to confirm before I order since I just picked up the car today (confused)

Also.. are there any diy's on the fogs? Looks like i need to pull the bumper off?

the Lo beams look easy as long as I figure out a good way to mount the ballasts!

has anyone had issues with this kit just flashing is that a bad bulb for all yall hid smart guys?

Flashing or flickering? The HID bulbs will flicker on startup, however that is normal because the bulb is firing up and is warming up to operating temperature.

Not sure what you need a DIY for the fogs for, but you don't need to take the bumper off to get the fogs off. There is only 1 nut holding the fogs on. Once you get under the car, you will see it.

Sweet thanks. I've only the car for 1 day so I'm not too savvy with it yet. Don't want to be outside in 20degree weather too long haha. So I guess I should take the fog housings out and fit the new hids in there or is it possible to install them without any disassembly?

Are you guys mounting the lobeam ballasts behind the headlight on that small surface also? Just double sided tape?

I ordered 55w 6000k lo and 55w 3000k fogs with 2 wire harnesses. They can't be that bright since I have 55w 8000k lo and 55w 4800k fogs in my g35. 8k isn't very good in the rain though FYI

I mounted the PS ballast to the wheel well and the DS ballast to the side of the fuse box with double sided tape. The tape has long gave way and I plan on putting them behind the bumper come Spring.

My driver's side has sticky tape on it and is also held back by the hood release cable... passenger side is the same, cept I believe I squeazed it behind an AC line or 2.. something like that anyway.

You will need to take the housing out. The glass lens is held on by 2 screws on the back, one on either side. Read back and find my post about doing the fogs. You may be able to figure something else out, but it worked for me (cabpatch)

Azuelke,

Thanks for the update on the Lumines & Watts, now what about the brand.
Did you get the Raptor Kit, or the next version.....?
What brand / model did you exactly get....?

Has anyone here tried the Aline HID Kit from Wholesale Xenon HID...? My brother in law got the 6K - H1's and he's really happy with them. They are $57/kit and are made in japan.

my bulbs are kinda flickering but thats all they do and then they turn off but they wont warm up all the way.

one thing that i did notice about the HID's is that when it's snowing heavy, it is very hard to see because of the amount of glare that they give off...
