Can you pm me info on this dp I can definately weld this up real nice to fit minus the v band and dump tube.

I'm using a 3" dp with v-band with my mam thumper mani. Had to use the modified t-stat housing so that the lower rad hose would clear it. Besides that, there's tons of room.

What turbo are you using? The stocker? You will also need slim fans as previously mentioned. My turbo has a v-band flange directly on it (T3/T4 Turbonetics).
got the stocker for now but rebuilding a t3...im just going to wait till I get a job in january so I know I got extra income coming in before I spend any more money maybe by that time shane might be selling these things as drop ins that would be sweet we'll see.

Doesn't the MAM thumper shift the turbo a few inches to the right?? that might explain the "tons of room" I have very little room to fit a 3" DP then again I'm running a Gt28RS and the thicker corksport Radiator, and slimline fans.
CrazyCaker- you have a boosted P5 right?? didn't the P5 come with a smaller AC compressor?? That might also explain the added space. If so I might swap out the stock MSP one for a smaller unit.

The mani does shift it to the right slightly, however the size of the turbo makes that not very important since it still takes up more room then the stocker.
You might be right about the ac compressor. I've never actually checked since I had no reason to.
edit: here's a very old crappy pic I found here on my work pc of my setup... it's not exactly like this any more, but you get the idea with the v-band flange just visible under the mani.

I'd love to have time to make more than one but that just won't happen. Single dad 2 boys. I'm a senior engineer with a mchine shop at my disposal but barely have a minute to catch my breath

Crazy...I see where the added space comes from. The turbo is not only shifted to the right but it is rotated so it bolts straight. I'm willing to bet that few degree angle change is what it took!!!!
It does look like it's shifted to the right quite a bit though. I would kill to have that set up and one of your RC hoods with the inner painted spicy!!!
