This is what I have in my hands but the unit isn't installed yet bc no free time so far.

looks like you are running 4 VB921's or the (Bosch alternative) are you going for the sequential setup?... driving the coils directly from the ecu? I was thinking of running the wasted spark setup with just the 1K resistors like so:

Do you know if this will work?... here is where i asked and couple of guys told me it would: http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showthread.php?t=123649845&page=7

Thats exactly how you drive the coils, same as what I got.

All you need is a ecu pin out but pics deff help.. Why doesnt someone make a MS kit yet?? This is going to turn out like my last car.. sold the NB and i s*** you not the megsquirt adapter for the NB came out.. i was pissed needless to say.. But hopefully once i get my tax return i can buy a MS and start messing with it.. Does anyone know if you can run it full standalone and have it run everything or just piggy back to control fuel and timing?

From what i understand it will be a real PITA to run full standalone, but you can control fuel and ignition pretty easy. OBD II just makes things more difficult cos now the ecu runs the alt, the ac, gauges,,, etc etc...

So when you are wiring up the MS, u just splice into the input wires on the stock ecu?.. and what do you do with the stock ecu outputs? terminate them with resistors?... if so what resistance values?...

Oh, and it wont be piggy back, you'll be completely taking over fuel and ignition. The stock ECU will have no control of it whatsoever, call it a parallel system if you will...
