The MS2 Extra 2.1.0 Incorporate the AFR target function, all you have to do is attach a LC1 or UEGO output to MS2, and set a AFR table, the ECU will automatically adjust for fixed AFR. This made tuning incredibly simple and accurate.
I recently did the Volumetric Efficiency analyze(higher the VE, the better the engine breathes, this is due to camshaft, valve, IM EM etc...) , it gives me the predictable torque curve. All I did was set a fixed duty cycle for injection in boost @ 5psi (12afr), from 2000 to 7000, then watch the wideband changes. As we know our engine produce peak torque around 4500 with a flat torque band from 3000-5500rpm, that means we get the highest VE in that range, so with the fixed injection duty cycle, I get around 12.1-12.3 from 3000-5500rpm the it fall into 11.6 11.7 around 6000 - 7000, <<< the AFR gets rich with fixed duty means less air can be sent into cylinder, which also means our engine running outta breath and the torque curve falls at that rpm range.
