psh well im not going to rely on his results for what i would expect for gains on my car... assuming of course i had a grand for just about the nicest piece of equipment ive seen on here.

im still amped for dyno numbers though. its been exciting to follow even though i am in no way involved.

oh, and with all the work youve done on the DP and shorter IC piping route etc, are we looking at a new stock block record? my bet's on yes...
 
i dont mean to butt in or anything, just wanted to ask if u had an extra EGR line that i could buy

Yup I've got that one spare and won't be needing it. It has brass end-fittings instead of silver ones, but it's all yours if you want it.

Shoot me a PM with your shipping addy and we'll take it from there.

We'll see if I push it that high. Right now it feels pretty rip-roarin' with the boost settling in at 8.5 - 9ish, and I will probably leave it there for the testing.

I have zero doubt that it would break my 277 pull if I ran it at 12psi, but I probably won't chance it.
 
12 psi on a 28RS? yeah i can see why you wouldn't chance that. have a spare block laying around? maybe the last pull of the day?

Black magic, no (notcool). Good tuning will take you along way. Also His car is a freak.
 
a good tune certainly helps but by itself will it get you to 12 pounds on a 28RS? cmon. theres some other forces at work here, one of which is probably his freak block. also im sure his very, very free-flowing intake and exhaust help just a teeny bit... a monster radiator, and i think he has the JDM tstat as well... its not just the tune and definitely is not just the parts.
like i said, i just want to learn the zen of the stock block.
 
Im telling you Its tuning. Those other things help but If im not wrong he even had it tuned for 19psi on the stock turbo at one time.

is there anyone else that makes intake manifolds or is this pretty much it?

It took me a long time to read through the whole tread but I did before sending a deposit. Depends on what your goals are headed towards but alot of people upgrade to the 626 IM. It has alot of high end power (4500 and up rpm range). Depending on what the dyno numbers show us in a couple days will tell me if I'm going to be installing this or selling it. But If it does end up having alot of higher end power range and not lower end( 1500-2500 rpm) like I hope i will sell this piece but ONLY after Rich has sold ALL 505 IM. Now we just wait, patiently for some numbers. Just a couple days now.
 
I'd still love for someone with an N/A engine to try this and see if gains are possible or not...
 
Yeah it has been discussed. This manifold was purely designed for a FI car. It seems like people were saying that this car is actually the exact opposite of what you want for a NA car.
