Is the head on a MSP and a 626 the same? Also is the cam positioning sensor the same? I did a engine swap and it keeps flooding Trying to narrow down what it may be....

same here

the 626 heads that dont have a distributor are the same...but i did a 626 engine too and mine still wont run..i actually got it to start but it wont run or do anything under 3k rpms..i think my MAF is fried tho...

but i did notice a lot of fuel in cylinder one...i had to blow it out. will urs even run?

I am having the same issue, I think mine may just need a simple reflash of the ecu but I am not good with computers and need to figure out my Split second tuning software. Mine will crank and shoot out exhaust but wont run...

nah its not a ecu problem...

ya mine will fire a little bit and sometimes barely try to idle real rough and sometimes when it does that i can floor it and get it over 3k and it runs perfect. i mean like a new car...but under 3k...nothing.

also its not the crank pulley, crank sensor or cam sensor as ive tried and replaced all of those...i believe its my mass air sensor since it sucked alot of water through it when i hydrolocked it

my cam sensor had a different small number on it but i switched it with the protege one and it still didnt do anything

damn same here. it will fire like once then stop. i dont have any codes either. im still holding out that its the MAF in my case

Has your ecu ever been flashed? I know mine has and I am banking that onece the flash is back to stock it should regulate the fuel. Hopefully, if not I am not sure, keep me up to date about if your MAF works.

idk but changing the motor wont have anything to do with the ecu...

The ecu was previously flashed to my other engine that had mods, new engine is 100% stock. So it will effect it. Right now the ECU thinks my car has the old engine... so i have to reflash it to stock.

lol dude the "reflash" is the same for every msp through mazda....and if you have a ssafc or whatever that doesnt even affect idle! or anything at lower rpms

check all the basic stuff go over EVERYTHING...but idk i still havnt got the maf in yet so mines not running yet either
