My stock speed3 dyno #

wowzers.

That's one of the higher results I've ever heard of.

Toss in a SRI/CAI and listen to that baby spool in the cold weather coming up :D

With respect, this does not seem possible on a stock Speed3, and ET seems inconsistent with trap speed. What is this all about?

Nice stock dyno numbers, but 13.4's with 241 whp does not seem to match either. I'd think it would take 270-280 whp or even a bit better to get to those numbers and the trap speed would be 105-106, would it not?

Please forgive the skepticism. There must be an explanation I am missing.

What can i say ?

The dyno was a mustang md250 and the car was cold.

241 whp was the first run and the best one.

I went to the drag strip, the day was cold, the track was sticky and my Toyo RA1 was at 20psi.

I have done lots of 13,5 and 13,4 was my best run

Trap speed this day was slower for everyone.

Next year i'm gonna go back to the dyno and drag strip and i'm gonna make some vids of both.
 
if he has traction, 13.4 @ 102 seems possible.
102 on a stock speed, i haven't seen, but whatever.

Ah, the driver mod. And that skill is far more important than many realize. Launching fwd cars like ours is difficult and is an acquired skill I have not come close to perfecting.

I'm running high 13.4- low 13.5's with mods listed below, but trap speeds are 105-106. My problem is that I need the driver mod. I can't get better than 2.3 60 ft times on stock tires, (the occasional 2.2) probably due to not putting enough time to perfect launch. New tires to come soon, but driver mod seriously needed!
 
i used to trap 103mph with my 03.5 MSP, best ET was 14.0 or 14.1 though

driver has lots to do with it. i know my car could've done much better, i just wasnt good enough. So with good tires, traction and on a cold day, i can see this happening

DanSpeed6, where did you get your car dynoed? I might go to Technika in IleBizard some time in the next couple of months to dyno my 6
 
Drivermod ftw...Before my ms3 I had a 07 civic si and was in the civic forums and this 1 guy had a 2006 civic si coupe..and all he had was intake,header,exhaust-which means about 200 whp..stock k20z3 is around 175-180whp....anyways with DR tires he was running 13.5 at 105 mph..Which is some pretty dam good launching imo.
 
if you dont have slicks dont bother launching the car..lol just agressivly roll of the line then around like 3 grand punch it..better then sitting there spinning then shifting into 2nd to early then bogging ...but just my 2 cents lol
 
make your own slicks. take the stockers out for a drive in a parking lot...do lots of burnouts...then go for lots of drives on off and on ramps in california...they are normally 180-360 degree turns.
