Mark how was the meet on Saturday? Did you guys took any pictures?

meet was small but productive, the rain didn't stop us from doing some wrenching, fiberglassing, washed and waxed two cars...some burgers and dogs, and as always so great car talk!

Not as far as you might think. The Nitro is built on the Jeep Liberty platform but it is a little wider. The 4L V6 however is not offered in the Liberty. Before we went to the Dodge dealership, we drove some Jeeps. The Patriot was a nice alternative to a minivan and felt peppy with a stick shift. The CVT tranny was a joke. Sure it was smooth, but it didn't accelerate worth a damn over 50 mph. Had she been able to get a Limited with the nicer styling and features with a stick and in 4x4 we might have considered it...but the dealer said it would be tough to find a limited in stick, and even tougher if we wanted 4x4. We also drove the Liberty which was much larger than the ones I drove years ago. It felt more like a truck, or I should say more like an old-school 90's SUV, you know before every soccer mom had to trade in her minivan for one. Styling was bland though and the 3.7L engine wasn't very inspiring. So that's where the Dodge Nitro came in. It took the Liberty and made it a vehicle you'd actually want to own. I'm a sucker for a nice interior and the red mesh seats really tie everything together. An the auto transmission doesn't skip a beat when you step on it.

what a pain in the ass...so I'm looking into getting a new phone, and I want the Pearl...just like mine, only difference is it takes video as well...

I can get it for a mere $150 through AT&T, and that's it...only thing Walmart or Best Buy offer are the curves or the 8900 (curve for free, 8900 for 100).

GRRRR! I LOVE my phone now...just want video capabilities, which the Curve doesn't have...

mornin all....wow, a gift for me josh?????...thanks for the well wishes...i've been i'll since right after the meet sat...actually i felt a tickle in my throat fri but ignored it...anyway, can't talk...which could be a good thing...everyone is getting sick at work and home(shrug), my prego daughter n law has the flu...not good.

lol you said prego. That is what we called my wife during both pregnancies. While pregnant with our son she came down with walking pneumonia and was on bedrest for a couple of weeks. No fun at all!

There's a lot of flu outbreaks right now. The main thing is to be aware of what you have and make sure it isn't swine flu, especially if you are pregnant! Have her get the vaccine if she hasn't already!
