Hit redline for the first time ever since i got my license. I really had to pee and was tired of waiting for traffic to stop coming so i cut off traffic to get to my dorm parking lot and to do so I hit redline. Now im paranoid i broke something even though everything runs fine. btw, having long periods of not driving the msp makes you really appreciate the pull that little engine puts out.

Could be just the picture, but the color of the HID's looks more like 8K...
i installed my new xtreme 10K HID's a couple of nights ago

Did you take it to the red line or did you hit the rev-limiter? I regularly take my engine past red line (but not fuel-cut) when accelerating hard. No need to baby the engine - set it free!!

The car is fine... You should do it more often. Many times, cars will actually wear worse when you don't exercise them often. Gets all the pumps and hoses and whatnot flowing at full-tilt, which can help unblock gunk in the system and keep things running healthy. Think of it like going for a run once in a while to get the blood pumping. As much as we think of cars as mechanical nothings, they are as organic and as fickle as we are...

Car wouldent start on me at work.... got Jumped by my coworkers car, went to autozone and got a battery for 88$, I can start my car now. LOL

i believe in middle ground. not boosting is dumb, go buy an NA protege if you don't boost anyway... but driving like a bat outa hell all the time is equally if not more retarded, depending how obnoxiously and inconsiderately you drive.

P.S. my idle finally cleaned up, I think the ECU figured itself out finally, and has accepted the lack of vac leak. lol
