Mazda 5 Sport Facelift in true red from Switzerland

I am LMFAO at how this thread on such a beautiful car got hijacked by the photoshoppers. It's really funny though. I'm sure the OP is scratching his head.

Hi all

Thank you for your compliments and replies. This makes me even more proud and is a confirmation that I did the right thing :)

Very strange that the US dealers do not offer the "true red"... I am sure that this would be sold alot there.

@Heat: No, there doesn't ring a bell when I hear the name of this band, never heard. And thanks you for the funny mod-pics with the DVD-screen, hahaha, funny :D
Back to your question. I made some calculations and came to the result that I paid about USD 9K for all the mods. The car without mods was USD 34K freshly delivered from the dealer. So all in all USD 43K :)

@mothernature: Thank you for the link, really very nice coloured Mazda5! Very nice contrast to the bright interior!

@all: Stay tuned for the next modifications

Cheers,
Sascha

P.S.: The DVD-System is "Stand Alone", and we use it with two headsets. The radio is a "Doppeldin", in english "doubledin"(?) from Kennwood (DPX503U). The mounting frame is original Mazda-Part.

...The radio is a "Doppeldin", in english "doubledin"(?) from Kennwood (DPX503U)...
Double din or 2-din works (or double DIN or 2-DIN).

If anybody is interested... from wikipedia:

ISO 7736

International standard ISO 7736 defines a standard size for car audio head units. The standard was originally established by the German standards body Deutsches Institut fr Normung as DIN 75490, and is therefore commonly referred to as the "DIN car radio size". It was adopted as an international standard in 1984.

Head units generally come in either single DIN (180 x 50 mm panel) or double DIN (180 x 100 mm panel) size. The depth is not standardized. The US standard for a DIN radio is 2" x 7" and the Double DIN sized radio is a 4" x 7".

really nice car man.i dig the seats alot and the car seats in the rear. and i agree with the man. those chrome mirrors with the red looks sweet!!

Agreed!

Mazda5 CH, can you give up some information on those chrome wing mirrors. I saw them available on the Mazda UK website, but I am monolinguistic, so I have not been able to search across Europe and I think my email to a UK dealer got sorted out because I don't have a UK postcode.
I have a mica blue Touring and want that chrome finish to add that custom look without going OTT.
Thanks, BTW

In the UK, the part# is CC29-V3-650G. But, as stated, I am having a problem getting anyone there to respond. Is the Swiss part# different?

Awesome photos. But I think going chrome-less and just having red and black would be better. :)

Thank you guys :-)
The Mazdalogos are in chrome, so i feel the mirror-caps and doorhandlecovers in crome are perfect :-)

Sascha

Nice car. Love the red.

Are there any 2012 Mazda 5s over there that have been modded, if so, any pics?

My natural response is to say why not paint the logos red or black? I think all red with the black tint and sticker would be insane looking, as in really sweet.
