We have big brakes as the car sits. I had another driver marvel at how large my brakes were this weekend at an auto-x. Also brakes don't come into play at the drag strip

. Learn to auto-x on the stock breaks they are more than enough. Then when you've gotten good you can put new pads, rotors, fluid, and brake lines. This will all come in at less than half the price of a big brake kit. You won't need any more brake power until you get some huge front tires and can no longer get into ABS while hard on the brakes. ABS keeps the tires from locking up so a bigger brake kit won't be able to squeeze any harder since ABS will keep the tires from locking up anyways.
