What have you done to your MSP today?

I had my WGA go out on me and drove the car nearly 300 miles, with some full-throttle applications (several... a lot) and had no boom boom. Either it was luck, we the 1400s are the beasts of the lot. I mean, its right in the middle of the production count, so it should be like getting a car built on a Wednesday, right?

wednesday... well atleast it's not a monday, but still not as good as friday.

nonono, you don't want a car built on a Friday, they just wanna get out of there at that point and do a crappy job. Wednesday has been known to be the best day for car production. You're just jealous since you don't have a 1400-series MSP!

lol

yeah... the lower the production number the higher the value in a couple years.

Why is it that I've gotten more compliments when driving the S2k than I have ever gotten when driving the MSP?

s*** I dont think I ever had anyone say "hey nice car" when in the MSP but it happens quite often in the S considering the damn MSP is much more rare lol

I remember when people used to compliment you on your Eclipse. Only thing I remember someone saying about your MSP was those little kids that said "Nice car" and then insisted it was an STI. LOL!

compact sedan vs. roadster

anyone who doesn't know what an MSP is won't be impressed by it more than they'll be impressed by your average lightly modded honda civic. like the mona lisa, its only impressive if you understand what you see.

tis true...but the MSP is so preeeeety, I'd figure at some point in 6 years of ownership that I would have gotten something lol

I got thumbs up from some guys in Ferrari's after I stuck to their back bumpers on a twisty roads. If they didn't know what it was before, they do now!

I wanted to hit him with a tack hammer lol

"Nice Subaru"
"Its a Mazda"
"No its not..."
(hand)

best I've gotten (besides on here) was a few weeks after I picked it up a guy in a ford focus (who claimed he had a mustang cobra, cannot confirm nor deny) shouted out the window to me that "those things are quick".. he claimed one gave him a run for his money but he "took care of it"... if this is true, the one he ran must have been nicely modded.. and i don't believe I've seen an MSP on here that would keep up with a cobra strait line.

yeah, that must get annoying. luckily titanium grey doesn't make it look like anything people readily identify.

Most people think my car looks like a evo...... haha Cause of the hood

But I get compliments alot actually, mostly people saying "that car is a great autocross car man!"

I get the subaru line all the time... in the titanium. Hell, I got it last weekend at the autocross I went to. IT WAS A MAZDA CLUB EVENT!!!

They were wondering why the STi was behaving (locking up the inside rear wheel) like a FWD car... (flame2) I can see how people would get confused, and it performs a hell of a lot better than it appears it should. But still people.

I'm thinking of putting a "Not an STi" sticker on the car somewhere, or changing my license plate to: "NOT STI" or "NOTSUBY"

yeah my car can handle quite the beating. the 1400's were good productions. maybe were those msps that can handle 14 psi stock........

I actually don't disagree with you...my msp never had a wga problem handled 9psi of boost no problem, never snapped the diff (had it welded just before 100k just in case) and besides the trans having a nut back off (I don't think I can attribute that to mazda) never really had much of a problem.
