Thank you. Though I'm a touch confused--I'm finding fuel tanks for the 1999-2001 Protege, but they are 13.2 gallon/50 liter tanks, whereas the specs for the 2002/2003 Protoge5 indicate a 14.5 gallon/55 liter tank.
Does that mean the smaller tank can be dropped in?
Just wondering what you did to fix the fuel tank. I'm looking at maybe removing my tank, but the manual say to remove various hoses that are completely blocked by the crossmember.
Did you do this yourself? How did you access those hoses? I'm thinking I'll unclip the hoses on top, unbolt the tank and drop it a bit to get to hoses (assuming I can).
