1.04 AP Maps for cali spec?

Am I missing something here, or is there not support for the cali spec models on the 1.04 Maps?

They dumped the Cali spec cars because they think it's not worth their time and effort to do a map just for that one state.

j/k - they did away with the cali/federal thing altogether and now all the new 1.04+ maps will work in either spec car.

Do I need to divorce my AP from my car first? Because when I try to upload the map it tells me that it is not the correct map for the car.

Make sure you have updated to the correct firmware for the AP and the dongle.

I actually had to update the firmware, uninstall the old AP Manager, then reinstall the new version.

I don't think that's necessary. At least, it wasn't the case for me - all went without a hitch and was pretty straightforward. Make sure you update to all the newest versions of firmware/drivers for the AP and the USB dongle. You'll also need the newest AP manager software and update to the newest version of ATR Race. You'll need to fill out the online thingie and Cobb will send you a link to download the newest ATR. Prior versions of ATR cannot work with the 1.04 maps.
