For those who have done n/a mods

well then heres a question...would you rather spend the money on this car OR buy another car that has more potential?

(i could probably find a Honda shell for like 400 and a motor and tranny for 700 and have a quick car. even mkIII poopras go for cheap here)

dude do you know much about hondas not trying to be a dick but your not going to have a fast honda for 1100$s .......but if you really do want to build a fast honda pm me and i can show you the way to build to budget turbo sohc civic that will put down like 400hp

fast is relative. straight line fast is like nascar to me... boring. sure the honda will have power, but it wont be a good driver.

which is why most of us like our mazdas they are fun to drive on the twisties

(iagree) Exactly. Fast is only if you can carry it threw a corner. They got barstools that can go 60 mph but i would like to see it go around a corner like that.

ok so i have a na 03 protege and the mod bug bit me recently
so far ive got headders, exhaust, and intake. whats the deal with the mp3 ecu? do u have to get it flashed befor u hook it up? whats diffferent between mine and the mp3's? i would def like to get 1 if its as good as every1 says.

it will smooth out the power and torque bands, you can buy the original ecu you or there is a member that can flash the same program onto your ecu

True, but I still would like the bar stool. Just imagine: There is a party at your house. A bunch of friends get drunk and won't leave. Then BOOM one of your friends takes off on a bar stool unexpectedly by your remote control. You get a camera to capture this instant forever to show your friends.(drinks)

(uhm) I think he missed the point. (lol) J/K. Kinda hard to hide the engine tho....

Ehhh their drunk anyway. Just say it is the missing piece off a UFO. Problem solved.
I must give my little car some due props. I have taking plenty of turns rated 30 mph below what I took them at with little body roll and no loss of traction. Plus I can still hit those triple digits so I am good.

lulz i built a h22a cb7 under $2k. whoopin v8s like nothing.

Sadly, unless you get your butt completely chewed off by the mod bug the car will never "go fast". Just enjoy the drive. That's all anyone can do anyways.

I dont not love the car, I do, its just not fast and never will be.

Agreed. And so we have some choices here:

1. Get a faster car.

2. Mod the car heavily.

3. Mod the car slightly.

4. Get over it.

#1 costs the most. #4 costs the least. #2 has a good chance to lead to #1. And #3 requires part of #4.

Everyone's choices will be different depending on their personalities.

That said, I'm at #3 for now, but saving up for #1.

^The P5 would win too. Seriously. The viper driver would be laughing soooo hard that they couldn't tell if the light were green. The driver would then faint due to loss of oxygen.
