And so it begins...

Don't think for a minute that I'm not thinking about installing one of those train horns on this thing :P

If only I had a place to put it :(

i wanna say i saw a thread in the p5 section where some protege guys actually did put on air horns. do it to it. get the horn setup, kill a prostitute and start haulin' various goods for distributors. you could set up the horn pointing right at the intake filter and when you honk, stomp down on the throttle. it would be like nos, but without it. in any event, if u do put the horn in such a fashion i wanna see some dyno results.

Bahahahahaha.

I mean, the trunk is big enough on this thing that I could probably put a good amount of bodies in it if I cut them up/folded them up right...

I'd look into the Stage 2 short shifter and test pipe for some quick mods. That will set you back around $300, but if you liked the improvement of the motor mount, the shifter (and bushings) will take it to a whole new level again.

Hmmm.... Good point. Once I get back to Washington and settled in somewhere, I'm going to get my Corksport ordered. I was actually thinking about doing the full turbo back from them. What do you all think?

I mean, I could probably put a couple dead ones in the back as long as I cut them up/fold them up properly...

I was just looking at the TWM... does it come with the bushings? It says its optional on PG but the picture shows them... At least, I think those are the bushings...

unnecissary as there is a how-to on the rear seats folding down for extra cargo room.

the bushings are optional, also there are some bushings for the ms6 floating around on ebay

Upon reviewing the time that I have left here in Texas, I don't think it would be wise of me to order any new parts for the car until I return to Washington. However I did have a question pop up in my head. I'm split between ordering the full turboback Corksport exhaust, to include downpipe and racepipe and ordering the Corksport downpipe, a test pipe and the Corksport catback. Which one of the two replacements for my cat would be best as far as performance gains? I know I don't have to deal with emissions until 2011 so that's not really an issue but when it does come time for those, would I have to swap back my stock cat?

yes, you'll more than likely need cats to pass. unless your car is a 50 year old gas guzzler with straight pipes, that pumps out more hydrocarbons in one cruise than both our cars will in a year, you need converters to be road legal.

it depends on the state. in ma all they rely on is what the OBDII tells them about the emissions systems. they dont do a visual check or sniffer test

Oh yeah I figured that. I know in WA, they do the sniffer and gas cap test.

I guess my main question now is what would be better? The race pipe or test pipe?

Right on. Corksport did say it was quieter. And while I'm inclined to go with the turbo back Corksport setup, I'll probably order the race pipe. Shouldn't hurt the sound too much, I wouldn't think :p
