What have you done to your MSP today?

Today I cursed profusely at my front passenger side caliper that is not releasing fully when I get off the brakes. It is rubbing the rotor constantly and has now warped it.

I have a new set of Magnum cross-drilled rotors and PosiQuiet pads, just waiting for the new caliper I ordered...

Ive been using a credit card that I have to help, I can get the forward bottom corner squared away, but the other 2 more tight corners effin hate me.

have anybody tried this on an MSP ?

TurboXS Universal KnockLite Knock Detection

Also im still looking for a Medieval LW crank pulley to purchase, anybody here have one for sale ?

I plan on getting tint, or at least making the appointment next week sometime (not patient enough to do it myself and have no problem paying someone to do that)

but anyone have any good recommendations for tint %, my old white passat I had 15% on it, was a little dark, but looked really good on the white, for orange.. I was thinking 30% to make it legal, but I would really like to go for 20% or 25% if that have it, I don't know if that is an option though.. anyone have any preferences on an orange car (I don't care if it's legal or not in the end, just want it to look good)

I do, but i dont see the point when the edge of the card fits around it fine,

But 35% tint FTMFW! its not to dark, and its not to light! PERFECT!

k cool, ya 15% I liked with the white, but it was pretty hard to see out the back at night on some of the back roads and driveways, I just haven't see 30% or I guess it goes to 35% from there, and I know that at least in CT 35% is legal, as long as it is not on the front windshield (which is illegal everywhere I am pretty sure)

anyone have any pics of 35%? but pretty sure I am going to get that, I think when I went to get tint last the guy showed me the back of the minivans and they come with 30-35% tint.. I think that is right?

i have 35 on my msp.

oh so they do have a 20%, cool, hopefully the place I plan on going to has that (25 might be better if they have it), I don't see why they wouldn't.. but we will see.. not too dark at night backing up bronco?

edit: hmm actually after looking at dj Dub's pics on his build, I think 30 or 25 if they have it will be good, the 15% or so looks good on the white, but 25 if they have it, or 30 might be good on orange, I will post pics in a week or 2 when I get it done!

oh and also since this is a what did I do with my msp today, well I got my new vanity plates "MAX.SPD" (my name is max) and got some lock/anti theft bolts to put them on my car, just have to get a print out or some copy of my plate so I can place the paper copy on the front windshield, or something like that, I don't want the metal plate to scrape up my dash, and I refuse to drill holes in my front bumper lol, anyone have any experience with paper plates? (and hopefully when I get some better weather around here, I can finally take some good pics of all the washing and waxing I have done lately.. it's been raining/T-storms for the last couple weeks, and going to continue for another week at least, everyday(unamused))

who cares about seeing out back at night??? 5% all the way around like my blacked out CTS.. and 5% on my rears on the MSP and P5.. everything else is WAY too light!!

have you tried meguiars plastix? you dont have to rub hard and it buffs your headlights really well and gets rid of haze

ya, 3 other types of products too. it just wont come off, see its on the outside of the headlamp and its not a haze of any sort. i believe its some sort of clear coat, i dunno. its got to be buffed by a professional though. because i dont have the equipment for it.

looks darker in the photo then what it actually is lol

35%

thanks, ya the photo's make it look a lot darker, might go with the 20% depending once I see it in person, I would like people to be able to see in it, just not that easily and for it to look black from a slight distance, thanks for the photo

lol, ya well the only problem for me is backing out of people's driveways in the suburbs, with my passat I've driving all over the grass and had to look out the side of my window to check where I was lol some times at night, with no driveway lights or anything, 20 or 25% should be good, also I can't have any tickets right now, at least for another 6 months

also, just so I am keeping to subject, got emissions tested today, my brother and I both failed the test just because we haven't driven the car's yet (his new titanium msp) and the battery can't be reset or anything for a full mazda drive cycle.. so gotta do some driving this week before I take it back.. damn laws
